I haven't heard anything yet about the mandatory GCC orientation. I'm not concerned with it until we get closer to the expected time frame, which is mid July. I am taking it one step at a time. This week is NAU orientation. I'm waiting on official acceptance to NAU then off to financial aid for some loans I already have a BS degree...which truly was a BS degree. Lol.
I was accepted into the program and found out around the end of February. Orientation starts tomorrow. If you haven't received an RSVP it's likely you didn't get in. Contact your advisor ASAP. (GCC NAU CEP)
For reference, I had a 3.5 GPA, only one degree under my belt and a 90% on my HESI, hope that helps.

Are you talking about orientation for NAU? I was accepted by Ottawa & GCC, so wouldn't get an invitation from NAU for orientation. I was referring to orientation for GCC.

I am talking about NAU orientation. I'm not 100% sure when or if we get oriented by GCC (I assume before block 1 starts).

Hey! So I just applied to the nursing program and I have been literally praying everyday! I'm so nervous to see if I got in or not and if I got my first choice! Is anyone else feeling this anxiety? I also don't know if i have even a shot at getting in because of my HESI scores. Long story short I got a cumulative score of 94 and It sounds good to the average person, but the counselors said they want to see 97's, 98's and so on.
Anyway, I just wanted to start this thread to see if anyone else out there applied or is going to apply and could use a little pow wow to talk it all out! Also when you get your email, let us know so that we can be here for you or congratulate you, as I know the first place i'll come crying to if I don't get in, or singing if i do, will be here, and a sista would love the love haha!
Positivity to everyone, and hello to the nursing fam!
