GCC students??

Anyone starting at GCC nursing program for summer or fall? Wondering if you have received any information other than just that you were accepted to the program?

Wondering if I should start calling people.....hmmmm......:rolleyes:

Glendale Student and Luann.........do you guys work in healthcare now? If so, did going to nursing school help you get your job?

I don't work in a hospital right now. I do know that the instructors write letters of recommendations for students that want to do an externship after the 2nd block. I think those that work in a hospital/healthcare facility have a slight advantage because it is a totally different environment than an office. It was a little intimidating for me when I first started clinicals. I felt like a fish out of water...a little clumsy.

Thanks for getting back with me guys.

Now there is nothing left to do but wait and pray. I am really looking forward to either affirming nursing is for me or getting the heck out of the field. I have spent oh-so-long wondering and investigating. Feels nice to finally get somewhere even if I end up backing out. At least I'll know for sure!

Thrash- you start this fall right? Please do let me know more details about the PT program if/when you begin! I'm seriously thinking about doing the PT program while working PT as an LPN after my program is over (march). I'd love to be able to get into it next year.
