Hi was wondering if anyone applied to mercers nursing program and if they have found out anything. I retake the TEAS tomorrow in hopes of getting accepted. I don't know if there is another post on this, couldn't find one. If so sorry for the repeat. But I am so anxious. I am worried about the teas. I haven't done so well on my other attempts (this is my 3rd try) but hopefully it will work out. Does anyone know roughly what GPA they want/accept? tia!
I don't feel very confident either because I won't finish my application until later April.... By then I think they will have many applications to compare me with. I am going crazy too because I need to study for the TEAS and now i feel more pressured to do well because I only have one chance left! UGH!! Well Good luck to you and keep me posted! =)
I'm pacing the floor too waiting on an acceptance letter from Mercer. I saw on a thread yesterday that someone got an acceptance letter Wednesday and they had only applied the week before. I applied several months ago too. My gpa is a 4.0 and my TEAS was a 87. I keep checking the mailbox every day waiting to see that IMPORTANT envelope!!!! Good luck to all who are waiting!!
I am still waiting also! I applied about a month ago and haven't heard anything yet. My GPA is 3.2 and my TEAS is 80% plus I have been working as a Medical Assistant for 2 years while taking classes. I just wish I knew when I would find out, since the application deadline isn't until mid May, will we have to wait until after then? Is anyone else going to the information session April 1st? They stated that the admission staff spends a lot of time with students who have a complete application, so part of me is wondering if they are waiting to meet me to make a decision.
I applied in early January and received my acceptance letter by mid to late February. My GPA isn't that high; I'm graduating from Texas A&M in May with around a 3.2. My TEAS score was pretty high though, 90.7%. Overall, even though my GPA isn't that high, I think my volunteer/work experience is what really helped my application. Good luck everyone!
Hey Lindsay_11,
Congrats. I'm still waiting. My GPA is a 3.29 and I got a 74 on the teas. I am currently a volunteer at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, have been for about a year now. I am kind of scared now because it seems like a lot of people have been getting letters. Did you finish all the prereqs? I am currently doing the last two classes that I needed; religion and philosophy. Congrats to you again. I hope I'll have good news to share.
