OP,
Have you considered doing your prerequisites at a CC. This approach would save
you a ton of money.
Since you are working as a CNA you could pay your way as you go without at least initially getting loaned up.
Go to (collegescorecard.ed.gov) to compare tuition costs and graduation and retention rates.
Loans from the Federal government sound good at first but they are expensive and burdensome to pay back if not used judiciously.
You've got to become an RN on the cheap if you want the investement in time and money to pay off.
