Hey everyone, i just wanted to kind of vent a little bit. I am in an associate degree program (2 yrs long) and i am in my last year, only one more semester to go and im finished in December. Anyways, i have gained so much weight since starting nursing school. I am always on the go eating fast food and i gained 30 lbs. i used to be 135 now i am around 165lb. That is alot of weight gain in such a short amount of time. I feel myself very tired easily and i am not active anymore. I used to go to the gym to relieve stress of school but i just get too lazy to get up and do something about it. I have a gym membership but havent been to the gym for probably a year. Gaining weight has put a damper on my mental functioning and to my self esteem. I know when i was exercising during nursing school i felt better about myself and was understanding the material better but i just need that kickstart to help me get back on track. Can someone please help me or give me some kind of advice on where to even begin!?
I have gained 20 pounds in the first year. It gets expensive since my clothes don't fit and I have to go and buy bigger sizes. However, you can now personally attest to how terrible fast food is for the body (I feel like it's all we eat now) and rejoice in knowing that the body is very pliable. Once you change your eating habits, your body will change and the weight will come off. Once you graduate, I expect you'll have more time to plan and cook meals. :)

Wow, I am exactly the same, I have gained at least 30 pounds. It seems like I don't have time for exercising anymore. When I get really stressed all I do is snack on junk food. I have been eating fast food a lot lately. I know it's a mind over matter thing, but I can't get focused. I will start a diet and do very well then out of nowhere I will start to have cravings and give in. I don't like diet pills or shakes so, I gotta get back in the gym. One thing I realized how can I tell my patient to eat healthy when I don't. I think I am gonna start by replacing one meal a day with a healthy meal, and exercising at least one hour a day. I want to loose 30 pounds or more when I attend my graduation/pining ceremony August 5th.
