Has anyone ever attended one of the on-line RN-BSN? I'm thinking about going back to school and these schools seem to be a little more flexable. Although it seems kind of scary and expensive. Any words of wisdom?

Try your local university/college. Theymay have programs with most/all of the courses online. That gives you the best of both worlds and you save $.
If that does not work, I would still consider education. It is never a waste.

I commend you for a desire to return and earn a higher level of education. I completed a BSN at the University of Phoenix. The program was very challenging, and it provided me with a quality education. The main issue with the University of Phoenix is the tuition, its some what higher than other on-line colleges. Additionally, my only regret is that I desired to attend an on-line RN-MSN program. In the time that I graduated with a BSN, I could have earned a MS instead. There are several on-line programs available, and a few offer a RN to MS track. If could have commented this type of program, I would be much further ahead. The University of Southern Indiana offers a RN to MS track to name just one. Take the opportunity to explore this option as you may find it meets your educational needs instead of the BSN. Thanks

I am enrolled at Cal State Dominguez Hills in their on-line program and have been very impressed so far. Most instructors are PhDs and it is well run and very organized. I already have a BA (psych) and am doing a pathway program to the MSN for education. Since I am a California resident, I pay about $1200 a semester for part time. Out of state people pay $225 a unit and you can expect to take 3-6 units a semester (plus a summer semester!) depending on your other committments. Good Luck!
