Fundraising ideas needed...

I am looking for fundraising ideas for our nursing club. The only thing we can't do is food (local health department restrictions).

We need an idea for Thanksgiving and for Christmas!

It is to fund some of the nursing scholarships.

Specializes in Mursing.

Drive drunk people home from the bar for a flat rate, say $5. The last group that did this made over $500 a night.

Well I know this isn't necessarily a Christmas idea but we did hooded sweatshirts last semester and we're doing shorts this semester so we can wear them during the summer, but both are pretty versatile. We're attempting to raise money for our class pinning.

We sold candles... made about $4000, so far.

Also did a yard sale... I wouldn't recomend, hours and hours of effort, for about $300... candles much more cost and time effective.

Candles cost us $3, we sold them for $6... a local artists makes them, there are usually many local business that may be willing to give discounts on things like this if you buy in bulk.

Car Wash. We didn't make the most money from that, but It was very decent for 4 hours work. My advice is not to do presale tickets unless you know you'll have a lot of sales. Just spend some time on signs. And don't set a price. Just ask for donations. Most people gave more than I expected. Though we all had a moment of concern when this huge Hummer pulled up. Luckily he just wanted his wheels washed.
