Hello All,
So i found out that since i entered the nursing realm a year late, i will definitely not be graduating on time; ill be a year over. So my question is, if i get into the program, ill have 2 years left of financial aid and grants; what do I do about the year after that? Is there a way to get some sort of grant that i don't know about or is there some way to get it paid? Or will i have to take out bank loans? I was thinking about if i find a good enough job while in nursing school to pay my rent, since my tuition is paid for via financial aid and grants, and then using my subsidized loans for that final year. Can that work?
Thank you!

What do you mean by over a year? Financial aid is based on credit hours towards a degree. You can take up to 150% of your degrees credit hours. For example, for an AA that takes 60 credits (not sure how many it really requires), you could take up to 90 credit hours covered under financial aid. A BSN should of course allow for more.
And to take it further. If it takes you 5 years to get an AA, as long as you haven't gone over the credit hour limit, you can get aid the whole time.

basically what mrsboots said lol
but if you do need additional funding, look to apply to certain scholarships whilst you have time, you may not either. apply too as many as possible, even if its 200 to 500 dollars lol, that's bookstore money!
and some scholarships offer to pay your tution in exchange for a 2 year work commitment or something of that sorts, look into that
and when you start clinicals, at least for my school, I heard some hospitals also give out scholarships after the 1st semester at least.
and if all else fails, tuition reimbursement from employers or loan forgiveness for working at a hospital for a set number of months, not sure how it entirely works yet, that is also an option.
