has anyone taken the fundamental ati practice assessments? Any tips or pointers?
A level 1 does not equal passing, only level 2 or 3.
Hummm...Below is grading criterion DIRECTLY from ATI. Anyways Level 3 level 1 none of it matters ATI is just a reference. Level 3 and level 2 means the candidate EXCEEDS expectations if they were to take the nclex today. Level 1 means MEETS minimum expectations for the Nclex. Anyways, ATI is just a gauge nursing schools uses and it has no relevance at the end of the day All that matters is passing the NCLEX. Even after taking the NCLEX it won't say on your license PASS at 75 or 265 questions. A pass is a pass.

Every school is different with grading. For us a level 1 score is between a 48.3%-63.2%, level 2 is a 63.3%-81.6%, level 3 is 81.7%-100%. In our whole class 25% scored below a level 1, 25% scored level 1 and 50% scored level 2. Not one person scored a level 3. They wanted a level 2 proficiency, but we can move forward into pharmacology with a level 1, however level 1 and below are required to take the ATI a second time to see if they can improve their score.

There's no such thing as a good level 1 score.
