Hi All!!
I will be restarting my ADN program this fall. I was wondering if anyone else has had to repeat Fundies and any advice for study tips, tests, clinicals and exit exams. It isn't an easy thing going back into somthing you failed the first time, but, you grow and learn from your mistakes and kick butt the second time around! :)

From my perspective all I can say is that foundations is a boring course offering very little in the way of clinical know-how. Prepare for death by PowerPoint, lol. That said, there isn't a lot to offer in terms of advice. I'd wager 80% of the course covers information basic to an introductory sociology and communications course. Toward the end we got a few chapters dealing with poop, pee, skin, sleep, stress, fluids/lytes/pH, and respiration so you won't leave it with a lot of nurseness.
I only took it once and passed.

Try to remain interested in the material. I really think half the problem with the fundamentals course is a lot redundancy. As a few questions in class to keep yourself engaged.

That's enlightening about the "boring" aspect of the course. haha.. I hated Sociology, but I'll keep my ears and eyes wide open.
Congrats on getting into the program once more and being given a second chance!
