Nursing Students School Programs

Is there anybody that has done the admissions process for fay tech in NC for spring entry? I'm just curious when they send out emails whether you get in or not.

Hmm okay thanks, I guess I need to speak to an advisor to see why its not on my plan.

How do you calculate points?

I applied for Spring...

taking A&P2 now

It's kinda hard to explain. Lol. So for the classes they use for points, you multiply then add. For a C it's 2 points, B is 3 points and A is 4 points. So you would mutiply the points by the credit hours. Example: if you got an A in A&P 1, you have 4 points. And since it's a 4 credit hour class you do 4x4=16. And you would do the same for the rest of the health classes and then add your answers together, and that should be how many points you have. I hope that made sense. Lol.

Thank you for explaining. I think the confusing part is figuring out what classes are considered "health" classes lol. I have chem, Anatomy, bio, math, psych, and humanities. I already had Anatomy but it expires in the Fall. I'm not sure if they will look at that with my application even if I'm taking it again. I've been checking my email everyday hoping to see something! I have also been reading these threads for previous semesters trying to get an idea of what to expect. I just want to get in and start my journey.

They are, ENG 111, ENG 114/112, PSY 150, PSY 241, BIO 168, BIO 169. Those are what were listed and counted for points on the HARF I got from applying for this Fall. I didn't get in because I hadn't completed my A&P classes yet, so I was missing about 30 points. Lol. But both of those are done now so I applied for Spring, I am also wanting to get in and start this journey! Hopefully we all do.

Wow thank you so much. I haven't done Developmental Psych yet. When I met with the counselor she told me as long as I do it before the second semester of the nursing program I should be ok. Hopefully I have enough points to get in!

I wish you the best. I remember reading your thread for the Fall.

HARF's are out!!

I applied for Spring 2019 as well and received my HARF this morning.

Same. How many points does everyone have?

Hi there! I too received my HARF and I have a total of 60 quality points! I also have some extra quality points for being a CNA and working for more than 6 months. Category 1 applicant, I'm so happy but so nervous that I still won't get in

I have only 54. I took BIO 168 & 169 last semester and failed BIO 169 or else I'd have even more points. I'm so disappointed in myself :( I applied for this past Fall and didn't get in - but didn't have as many points.

I just have 63 points, I don't have anything extra for the competitive points unfortunately. But I'm still really hoping to get in. I hope we all get a seat. Are you retaking BIO 169? I got a 89 in that class, I don't mind helping if you need it!
