FTCC Fall 2016

Published

Hey, everyone! I am new to this site, and am looking for others in the same boat as me! I am just getting ready to submit my applications for Fall 2016. So far I am applying to two schools, one being FTCC. Is anyone else applying to Fayetteville Tech for Fall 2016? I'm trying to see about where I might stand...what is the max number of points we can have towards admission (including the 15 bonus points we can get at the information session)...is it 95?

I am not sure if the lengthy wait time is normal for nursing programs but I have had friends go through 2 and 4 years programs and they are always really surprised when I tell them I am still waiting to find out. I applied in early December, so almost half a year?!? I agree the waiting game is getting very frustrating. I have my info session tomorrow and I feel like from your description it's just more information to prolong the process. I just want to know if I am accepted or not.

I applied November 1st lol so it's been forever...but they don't close until January 31st...but most schools have already found out. I think FTCC, JCC, and maybe one or two others are still waiting to hear. The info session is super pointless. They should just give you whatever points and tell you now and then just do orientation. It's a forever process :(

& it sure seems like there is a lot to do once you get accepted. Uniforms books and all these things to prepare so you'd think they would give you more time to get ready!

HannahRhodes...when did they tell you they would notify about acceptance at your info session? They should've said 2-3 weeks, I just wanted to make sure that was what they were still saying.

They told me 3-4 weeks! :( my info session was yesterday too

Ugh that's insane. Last week they said 3-4...so it should be 2-3...they're too slow

Yeah they said 3-4 weeks just like with your session. I was thinking it would be less time since that was what you were told, hopefully it's just habit for the to keep saying a month and we find out within a couple weeks. They did say they already had quite a few people miss their sessions so that's better for us.

Yeah because they're out. I was thinking it'd be near the 15th when we find out

Yeah I was hoping within the first couple weeks of May we would know. Honestly I understand there are a ton of applicants and they are still teaching too but after every session if they add in the extra points it should not take a month from my session to do that. We have waited and waited and not to mention we need to start purchasing supplies and it's not cheap at all so the waiting game needs to end. I am hoping it's not 3-4 weeks from my session I think that's way too long. They said that book bundle was between 700-1000 and the uniforms would be at least 300. It would be nice to be able to start knocking out these major expenses.

Not to mention we have to make sure we have all of our immunizations, physicals, background checks, and drug tests done by like July 15th or something...it'd be nice to have that information so we could knock that out too. They already have our first points calculated, so the rest shouldn't take but a day honestly. Because there are maybe 30 people in each info session and that can be done right afterwards. Other programs with more applicants are already done.

Yeah I forgot about the medical requirements, that's due really soon. I said the exact same thing there were about 30 in my session and a couple people had until Friday to turn in some documents but even then the points should be easy to add in and in reality a couple of points are dramatically changing the list. I think for the most part if enough people didn't come to the session they only have a few candidates that will actually be turned down. I am just ready to know I like to plan ahead and prepare and this wait had been so stressful.

I'm not stressed about being accepted. I'm pretty confident that I will be since I have everything finished and some extra points...I just want to get started on things. I hate rushing at the last minute.
