FTCC Fall 2016

Published

Hey, everyone! I am new to this site, and am looking for others in the same boat as me! I am just getting ready to submit my applications for Fall 2016. So far I am applying to two schools, one being FTCC. Is anyone else applying to Fayetteville Tech for Fall 2016? I'm trying to see about where I might stand...what is the max number of points we can have towards admission (including the 15 bonus points we can get at the information session)...is it 95?

Alrighty, well time will go by quick! It seems like just yesterday we started chatting about he program and it's already been almost two months. We get points for all the pre-few classes listed on the nursing brochure other than the humanities fine arts elective, correct?

Yed, we get points from Eng111 and112 or 114 , Psy 150 and 241, and A&P 1 and 2! How many points do you have so far including extra points? I heard the last semester people who have around 40-45 points got accepted, but it sounds not really trusting lol becaue it is easy to get 40-45 points.

I think I have 78 points. What about you? Do we get points for that one class at the very bottom of the nursing program sheet that outlines all the classes? It's a humanities/fine arts elective that must be taken prior to or in the last semester of the nursing program. I completed it already with an A so I'm not sure if I factor that one into the points as well?

Do we have to take the humanities? I thought you could apply without taking it and the humannities/arts do not get extra points. I have not taken A&P 2 either. I have 70 points so far. And I am working as a CNA but I do not know if I need to get a letter from my work just to get 1 more extra point. Ugh...

Wait, i got As from 4 English classses and Physiology classes. And A&P1. Can you see if my calculation is right? : (4pointsX3creditsX4classes) + (4pointsX4creditsX1clasd) + 6 points from extra points sheet so I got 70 from this calculation. Do we get 4 points got A?

Yes, you would have 70 points!:) that is great! I don't think you need to have the humanities/fine arts elective credit done, I just went ahead and completed it so if I am accepted into the program, I wouldn't have to take that one along with the nursing classes so I can focus on those ones and give them my all.

I had to make it clear at the first place. I knew it would make you confused. I meant 2 classes of eng and 2 classes of phy so i said 4 classes for total. Lol

Ok. A&P is 4 credit so it is supposed to be 16. So i guess my calculation is right. Thanks!

That's right! Sorry I had to go back and edit my last comment as well, I forgot that the AP would give you 16. I need to fix mine too! Lol

Hey! :) It's getting so close to finding out, I legit check my email everyday, I'm so nervous. Lol. how are y'all doing?!

For ADN or LPN?

I even forgot that I applied! Do you know what date we are supposed to find out if we are in the program?

For ADN! The email I got says we should get some kind of health rating form? Or something in early March.
