FTCC ADN Fall 2018

Hi.. I'm not sure if I'm using this site correctly, lol. But I'm totally confused on how entry into the program works, like how to calculate points, what are the max points ect. I have already applied to the program for start of Fall 2018 if I get accepted. I'm also in the progress of applying to RCC in lumberton, possibly.

Specializes in MDS Coordinator.

My wife is doing her A&P 1 now and everything else this summer. She is applying this summer for January entry. You guys might be in the same class.

That's awesome. Does your wife have competitive points? Because even if i apply again this summer for spring i still won't have any :/ I'll just get extra points for A&P 1 I didn't get this go around.

Hey! I applied to the program as well for Fall 2018. I was a category 1 applicant, and I still haven't heard anything either. I would wait till tomorrow, because the HARF rating sheet itself took a course of 2 weeks to send out to everyone, so Im sure they are going down the list for acceptance. So don't lose hope yet! best of luck and congrats to everyone who already got an acceptance!

Yeah, I was a category 1 applicant also but I didn't know it took that long to send out the HARFs. I thought everybody got one on the same day. I mean maybe there's still hope, I'm not getting my hopes up anymore personally though. Lol.

Yeah when everyone else was saying they got their HARF, I didn't receive mine till about a week and a half later....lol. I agree, I will apply for Spring semester if I don't get in this time around, but I really hope I do because I was in a nursing program already but had to leave due to moving. So not getting into this one, will really suck. I guess we will see tomorrow!

Girl we are in the same boat. I was already in a program at my husbands last duty station and had to move, came here and now I'm kinda sad. Lol. I'm thinking I'm gonna go tomorrow and ask if it's even worth trying again, I don't wanna go through this again if I won't get in. Lol.

I literally just got an email. I didn't get in unfortunately. Lol. I knewwww it. The process is so different here than my last program.

The joys of military.....I am so sorry to hear you didn't get in! I just checked mine and I still haven't gotten an email yet. I would definitely consider applying again, don't give up!

I agree, the process here is so different. Why do we get competitive points for already having classes done that are part of the program? Shouldn't it be based on our gpa and teas score?

It's alright. I'm gonna go talk to them tomorrow and see what they say I should do. Lol. But RIGHT. That's how my last program was, they accepted people based off of TEAS and GPA, not points. I just feel like dude, I was already half way done with my last program, let me in. Lol.

Yeah I didn't get in either lol... like we were both in nursing programs already let us in! The email said we could apply for other open health programs, so I am hoping applying for the LPN program could still be a possibility. If not, Im almost done with my bachelors in psychology, I might just look for an accelerated program in the area.
