Anybody applying for the nursing program at FSW for the spring in 2017? I plan to take my TEAS sometime August or September, does anyone know what the passing score is? And have you finished all your prerequisites and general ed? The only prereqs I have left to do is A&P2, nutrition, and micro. But still have all the general eds left to do. But you don't have to have all the general eds finished before applying right? Sorry, I'm new at this.
Do the packets come via mail or email?I would be also. But I think everyone who got the phase I is pretty much safe. I just called Edna for Collier and she told me that they are going to start sending the acceptance packets on November 15 and we should expect them the 16th or 17th so next Wednesday and Thursday.
What do you mean they didn't blind everyone from Lee?
They didn't make it so you couldn't see everyone else the email was also sent to.
The reason more people got an email than there were spots is because they count on people declining... Which according to Wendy at Charlotte people did decline this round. Also each campus has a couple "extra" seats (outside of the stated capacity) if they happen to have students who tie for points etc.
If everyone fulfilled their requirements(Phases 1-3), would they take the extras, or do you think the videos will be used to eliminate the extras?
They gave a scenario at the informational session ( I did not go- just relaying this info) where 120 people got letters and 20 of them would not make it in after the interview.
This is not the case this round because there is already less people in the application pool than number of seats to fill ( as I said - the "extra" emails that got sent got balanced out because some people declined their seat)
if this had been a round with 300 applicants then I'm sure that people would make it to phase 1 and then not make it in. It seems to me that the interview is being used when people have close points and they have way more applicants than seats.
the "extra" seats are very minimal - maybe two per campus. I'm sure they use those in cases where some people tied for points, qualifications etc.
Katie, in the "TO" part of the email, they CC-ed everyone instead of BCC. So we were able to see who got the first email.Nossa, Were you Lee Campus? I dont remember. I can go back through the forum to check.. If not how many people were on your email?
Are you talking about in the Phase I admission email? Because for me I got the email from Edna and it says from Edna to Edna.

I didn't get any email! Did all of you guys get that update email??
Also.
Ikauffman got a lot of great info regarding how they select people for final acceptance. She spoke with Wendy at Charlotte campus who said that there was 150 applicants, 96 spots, and that they did send out a few more phase 1 letters than available seats.. But that is only because they count on people delclining, which did happen. I'm pretty positive that at this point the have a seat for everyone who has made it this far.
