FSW Fall 2019

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to get a topic started on FSW's Fall 2019 cycle. The application deadline is May 15th. Here are my stats:

When this spring semester ends, I will have taken 8 out of the 9 pre-reqs. (3.62 GPA) I plan on taking A & P II in the summer. I am also taking the TEAS for the first time in May. I am a little stressed that I'm cutting it too close to the deadline and taking the TEAS without A & P II. My #1 choice is Collier ANEW, #2 is Lee ANEW.

Anybody else out there applying for Fall?

May I ask how long it took for your fingerprints to come through? I found out I got accepted almost a week later than everyone else on Friday, June 14th so the soonest I could do everything was the following Monday. Everything else came back the next day, but I am still waiting on the fingerprints to be approved.

Well, I am also waiting for my fingerprints get approved.

Hopefully they will get approved soon. I want to get the final packet ASAP in order to know more about the program, uniforms, textbooks, etc.

Same here! And the CastleBranch deadline of June 27th is fast approaching. If everyone who found out they got accepted a week before me still hasn’t gotten their fingerprints yet, I’m so afraid mine won’t come in time! ?

I'm sure your deadline is not the 27th since you got your acceptance letter a week later. Have you reached out to anyone in the nursing department to double check this? I have reached out multiple times about them receiving my fingerprints and all they have said is, results are sent to FSW directly and that they will reach out if they need anymore information from me. So I do not know if they have actually got them, they probably just don't indicate on their end that they were received therefore showing "incomplete" on CastleBranch, just my assumption.

Yes I think the same too. I got mine completed the day after I got the acceptance and it’s said “incomplete” for the last section where the school has to approve it. I emailed and she told me the same thing that it goes directly to the school and they will contact me if they need more info. So fingers crossed it’s all been sent to FSW and they have everything

Hey, I just looked on the Castle branch website. It shows my results both for drug and background checks but in the to do list it show incomplete where the school has to approve it. Anyone else?

Mine says complete for the background check and drug test. Incomplete for the fingerprints. I don't think anyone's fingerprints have gone through.

Is anyone else in the Charlotte Anew Program? I was originally rejected and just got a call a spot opened up!

Thank you for your reply! I just spoke to the program director this morning and she did say not to worry and that everything should be cleared by next week. She also said I should receive the next phase packet by next week as well. I feel so much better now! lol

The same thing happened to me, I was hoping to get into the traditional so I hope the ANEW one isn't too bad, I don't know too much about it

With ANEW the classes are online, you will have practicum 1 day a week at night like 5:30-8:30PM (it may be 2x a week in some semesters, not 100% sure) and clinical on Saturdays for about 12 hours (later semesters it will be both Saturday & Sunday) . You can search the courses that are required for the first semester through the FSW portal. That is what I did to find out the times of clinical and practicum for the fall semester. They will not have clinical locations until August. Hoping for the best in this ANEW program, for me I feel like it is going to be hard to teach myself the course material and do well on the exams.. fingers crossed.
