Fsw Fall 2017

Published

Hi everyone! This might be soon but I was wondering if anyone was gearing up to apply to the fall 2017 nursing program. I wanted to know what classes everyone has left and maybe we can study for the teas together! We can also boost each other up to make sure we all can get in! Good luck! Can't wait to hear from everyone!

I bet you'll get in! Those scores are awesome. Does anyone else know when the application will open up on the website? It said April 15 and I still get an error message when I try to open it.. not helping the anxiety

It will probably open up late like the summer application. They will extend the deadline. The department is flustered at the moment with the new program starting next month.

Yea I asked about it and was told it'll open soon and they are gonna extend the deadline

Hi guys!

I recently completed my application with a 3.5 GPA and a 66% on TEAS... I have all preqs done except for microbiology. I probably won't be accepted for fall, I know I have to retake the teas. But I applied anyway. I'm getting a point total of 87 which I feel like can't be right. Are y'all using the excel point sheet from the website to calculate points?

Hey everybody! Anyone submitted their applications yet?

Hey everyone, 3rd semester nursing student here on Summer break. I'll be around for some Q&A if you're interested. Feel free to pick my brains apart. I'll do my best to answer all questions. Good luck to all who have applied!

Hey guys, I'm currently an FGCU student trying to get into the nursing program at FSW. I have all my prereqs done and all my general courses. My prereq GPA is a 3.1 I'm retaking the TEAS exam this Wednesday, I got a 68.9% the first time, and plan on applying to the program on Thursday. What is FSW average TEAS scores? And with the tally sheet, what's usually the average number that gets accepted?

What was you cost for books and tuition like? Are you able to pick what days you have your clinical on? If not what day to they usually fall on?

Hi Walk!

I just finished my first semester. The textbooks are about $1000 and you will be required to purchase an ATI Bundle for about $600. But you will use these for all 4 semesters. Your entire first semester(books, programs, uniforms, background/immunizations tuition and lab fees) should cost about $4000. They have also worked with the Financial Aid department to allow a higher limit for nursing students since they require more than what is typically allowed in the bookstore.

They will require you to purchase software after your first semester which is about $5-700. They are working with the company to bring the costs down. Keep this in mind if you apply for financial aid so you can have both semesters covered.

For clinicals, my semester had two days(M & F). You just pick from what is available. Available days are bid on in a previous semester and can vary from semester to semester. Rema Stephens does all the bidding and contracting with the hospitals and off site locations for the days. She is very transparent about the process and she will work late to make sure you get the information you need and will let you know ASAP in there are any hiccups or make up days that need to be taken care of.

Hope this helps! Best of luck to you!

So the cost of $4000 for the first semester includes all the books for the whole program (4 semesters)? Or will you have to purchase more books down the road?

Hi Walk! I have a few questions if you don't mind answering.

1. toughest semester so far?

2. How are clinicals if you have had them?

3. What was your gpa/ teas schore upon acceptance?

Hey guys! Is anyone else getting impatient waiting to hear? Im so nervous
