FSW Fall 2015

Published

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

Danggg. I've never been this impatient. ):

I emailed back and ask how many applications were submitted and she responded about 300.

So 48 each for Lee, Part-time, and Collier equals 144 plus the 24 of Charlotte is 168 plus 24 transitions equals 192 seats.

My odds are 168/300+. So I might have a chance. I hope, I hope I get in.

Right! I remember counting the days till my due dates, anxiously waiting the arrival of both of my children. But this is far worse and it has to be the worst wait ever.

What deadline???

What?! That's so close to the deadline!

What deadline ???

What deadline ???

They have four weeks from the application date to let the applicants know who was accepted. So the absolute latest we should hear back is June 15th. Although, I hope it's much earlier!

Oh, I see. Thank you.

I only had 78. My GPA was high but I didn't do so hot on my HESI... I only got an 84 on the first attempt and an 82 on the second one... :( You?

I got 84 in my hesi, too. I applied with 3.7 gpa but I am missing two classes still. So 69points for me. If only I would have gotten one more point on Hesi, I would have gotten 74. Oh well :(

If I dont get accepted this time, I will apply for the spring. Last spring, someone got in Collier with 62 points so I have hope. I will get in.

Hello all this is my first official post on allnurses but i applied to fgcu 3 times and was denied so in trying fsw program for the fall of 2015. I had a question, the gpa calculation is it only based on preq gpa? Or your overall? I got a 89.7 on the hesi and have all prereqs completed but I'm trying to figure out my score for the gpa if it's only prereqs then I would have a 3.4 giving me 80+ points. I've been trying to get into a program for ages and really hope it happens this time. I've run out of classes to take so this is my last attempt. I already have the government asking for the loans back so I'm screwed if I don't get in. Fingers crossed! I'm freaking out.

I just entered everything just the way you said it and it looks like you'll have 84 points.

Not too bad! Which programs did you apply for?

Good luck!

Yes, GPA only prerequisite. Which campus did you apply to?
