FSW Fall 2015

Published

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

Does anyone have the link to self enroll in the PT lee program orientation? I emailed Barbara ward but want to get it done asap and don't want to wait for her reply

Im going to post link facebook group and tag you. :)

I still have to get my influenza shot. Does anyone know where they are offering the shot now? I am also a dummy and turned in the original copies of my Physical to the nursing dept so now I am not sure what to upload. Ugh :dead:

I scanned all my documents but you could go back to nursing dept and ask for a copy.

Does anyone know the due date to have everything uploaded into certified tracker? I uploaded everything but one. But its the weekend and everything is closed. Thanks!

I think the due date is this Wed.

Does anyone know what we're supposed to wear to class on the 24th? I just ordered my uniforms from Hamilton's and the lady told me 3-4 weeks until I get them back. I had no idea it could take a month to embroider the shirts....it shouldn't take that long.

I don't have clinicals yet until January but my first day I have health lab so I am wearing polo and khaki. I saw the other orientation videos on YouTube and they said to wear polo and khaki the first day.

Yes, they shouldn't take that long but I can imagine with all the orders they have. I got mine ordered I think two weeks ago and still haven't had a call.

I thought we can wear anything for the monday classes ? Since no clinicals or labs :|

I emailed Sandra at the Lee office and she said there is no deadline for the documents. I am assuming we need all the medical documents uploaded before clinical though.

I would email them and ask. I have lab so I'm wearing polo.

I have Health Assessment and then lab, so I'm also wearing Khaki pants and a polo shirt. Wed is the only day I have just a lecture. So, on Wednesdays I can wear regular clothes, with exceptions. Charlotte campus says (and I quote) "no cut-offs or short shorts, no obscene or inappropriate logos, and no extra skin areas should be visible."

AHH.:banghead: Got Reject on MMR and Varicell incomplete!

I went to the Health Dept. here in Collier. The ARNP knew what the vaccines were for. Even the pt info form on each vaccine indicated only the need for 1 shot. Not 2 series of MMR and Varicella. It was only indicated for Children. I hope I can get in tomorrow or Tuesday. They have to be 4 weeks apart for MMR and 28 days for Varicella.:nailbiting: there's more money out the pocket!:uhoh3:

I am in process of HEP. B series and have to get 2nd shot on the 28th of August.(after clinicals) OH!!! and on top of that my HEP.B will get rejected also because i did not have positive anitbody titers done!! (was not aware had to have that in addition to HEP B series)Well gotta wait, our Director is gonna address them tomorrow. I didn't need titers. :wacky: I don't feel well........:barf02: Nerves!!!!!! Need a Mr.Goodbar, Chocolate helps.:nurse:

Charlotte campus said if everyone has all documents uploaded by Wed Aug 19 they will be in good shape. The only one that won't be uploaded will be my influenza. Certified Profile said September was the start of the flu season, so I'm not worried about it. My doctors office has not received their shipment of influenza shots yet, so I'm sure not everyone has them done.

The Hep B, I think, you can just sign that waiver. My tetorifice was rejected because it didn't say TDaP. The health form said last tetorifice. It didn't say TDaP. I did get that done, but I didn't have documentation for it. So, I got a Td at my doctors and now I need to redo it and get the TDaP. :( Those hurt me! You can have Mr. Goodbar. I'll take a Caramello bar or Lindt milk chocolate truffles!!! Soooo good!

Like Mamiluv said Polo and Khaki.

Profess.P Zebrook. on Youtube orientation (8/6/15 publish date) states Polo, Scrub pant or khaki. Just for first day of school. This is stated 2:06 into the video.:geek: Since the orientation is universal it would be for everyone regardless of campus.

For your shirt go to bookstore and get a polo there. The Lee campus is always stocked it seems. At least it was when I purchased my books. :bookworm:
