FSW Fall 2016 Nursing Applicants

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create a thread for those of us that are planning on applying to the nursing program for fall 2016. We can post about studying for the HESI/TEASE. FSW has changed from the HESI beginning Febuary 2016, so those of you that haven't already taken it you must take the HESI before Febuary 1st. If not you will need to plan on studying for the TEASE. Application deadline is May 15th. We can post about our points, most of you know what that consist of. Students are admitted off from a point system, the higher the points the better chance you have of being selected for the program. Our points is based off how many prerequisites we have taken upon application, our gpa for those prerequisites we have taken. And finally our HESI or TEASE score. For those of you that haven't taken the HESI or TEASE we can plan a study group either online or in person. I'm a in my final class required to apply (AP I), in another school. I will have 7 courses completed upon application so that gives me 29 points for that. I have not taken the HESI yet so I don't know my points for that yet. I haven't been able to figure out my final gpa yet because I'm in this last course. But I hope to get to know some of you and I hope one day we will even be in class together!

Cool so when I can order them over the phone and once they come in I can try them on? Because I don't want to drive there 3 times I live an hour away lol!

Call them to make sure. I tried everything on prior to ordering to make sure that was the style/size i wanted. Then again, Im only 45 mins away so its not as much of a pita.

Can we wear pants other than the white? Regular street khakis?

Sage, Thanks for the advice! Did you go to the one in fort myers or punta gorda? I'll probably make a trip this weekend to make sure I get them in time for August.

Hello everyone, so I went to Hamliston's store yesterday. Very easy: come there, ask ledies for the right style, find your size. After you picked everything, you come to the register, pay for it; then they order everything, put logo on and call you when the order is ready for pick up. They told me it should be ready in 2-3 weeks.

Question for those who started immunizations, on CastleBranch website it says upload form for Measles, Mumps & Rubella and other thing all separate. I'm going to a doctor on Monday and wondering if I should ask for some kind of form to fill up separately for every vaccine or we just upload second page from general physical exam?

I did titers for MMR and Varicella. I'm just going to submit the same lab report for each. The only immunization I got was the TDAP, which is documented on the healthcare form.

Does anyone know what the heck our Banner ID is? This online orientation is confusing.

After reading over the manual, looks like we need a lab coat for clinicals. Back to Hamilton's....

Are the lab coats required? Our packets just said to get one if we're "cold natured" . Guess I need to go back as well.

The orientation said we need them, because we have to carry scissors, pens, etc. But I am cold-natured too! Lol I was trying to save money, but think I'm going to go ahead and get one.
