FSCJ Summer 2013 Nursing Students

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi everyone, well I'm starting this convo so we all can get an idea of who, what, when, and where with FSCJ. Good topics would include testing materials, the average ranking of points for the upcoming term, and any other useful ideas that will help us all get into to this crazy hard nursing program! :) So, lets see if we can help each other out....and it's kinda fun to talk about nursing as well :)

Hang in there guys! I know you probably don't want to hear this, but embrace the wait! Enjoy this last bit of time you have left! Once you get your acceptance letters (yes, they are big, white packets), all hell will break loose! :) And I mean that in a good way! The acceptance letter has directions of what you need to do by a certain deadline (about 3-4 weeks after the date of your acceptance) and you will find yourself running around like a crazy person trying to get it all done. We all thought waiting was the hard part too until we had to get a billion things done AFTER we got accepted! And if you plan on getting Worksource, the headache of trying to get the scholarship will begin! But it's all so exciting and worthwhile (and pricey)! Letters will probably come out when you least expect them to!

Thanks DTW90! I'm in the process now of getting all my stuff together....For LPN. And those letters do sneak up on you! ;)

DTW90 when you were accepted did you receive an email before you got your packet?

Well... Maybe next week we'll get a letter ;-)

There is always tomorrow still!! We can be hopeful right :-)

You are absolutely right. I forgot about Saturday's mail :-D

Thanks! Wish you luck as well:) Fingers Crossed!!

lucy2811 - Thanks! Wishing you luck as well! I applied for days.

Jrice and Cheri what were your scores when you applied and didn't get accepted?
I had a 181..The letter stated that the lowest score accepted for that term was 186
Hey,

We are applying with the same total score 196 :)

My classes are A but I didn't do well on the NAT. I got 76. I am really scared and I really hope to get in. This waiting is killing me

Hello...we are in the same boat. My grades are good, NAT awful! I tries too hard to answer ALL the questions and ended up running out of time with a lot left:( I hope we get in!! :/
I thought the TABE was okay and I did very well on it. It's very similar to the TEAS. I took it over a year ago. And I think it's free to take? Now the PSB-NAT for RN, I did not so well on. It wasn't the questions, it was the time limit. All the questions I answered...I got right. Lol. I just kinda froze while taking that test. I was cool beans with the TABE? grr. I'm taking the PSB-NAT again in late march and I'm going to show that turd who's the boss! Haha ;0)

Are you currently an LPN? I couldn't tell if that is why you took the TABE. If so, are you also applying to the bridge or just the RN program?

Best of luck either way!
