I wanted to create a new thread for Summer 2017 hopefuls (it seems far away, but it will be here before we know it).
I am very excited to start this journey, but I have to finish a few more prereqs. I am wanting to buy a HESI A2 study book, but I am not sure which one to go with. Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw on one thread where a lady swore by Elsevier, but I want to make sure that is a good one before I buy it. Thanks in advance.

I went to pick up a nursing packet from school and what they gave me didn't include the "point system" sheet. Would anyone happen to have it or a copy? If so email it to me please at [email protected]
Thanks
Hi everyone! I am applying for the summer term as well. I was reading this thread and I was wondering if someone could email me the page they have describing the point system FSCJ uses for their admission process? My email is [email protected]. I would really appreciate it because I'm not sure where you guys are getting this info from! Haha.
Hi Lauren! I don't have a physical copy of the point system. I went in today to apply for the bridge program also since the application dates have changed with that particular program. Mrs. Jones was very kind & explained that the only difference made with the point system was that the applicant gets 2pts with BLS cards & 3-10 points for holding a degree. (Associates-Masters). I know it's not specifically what you asked for, but I was content with her explanation & hope it helps you out. I can send you the old applicant rubric if you need.

That's interesting because when I went and applied this week for the RN program I asked to see the point system and all they told me was just wait for an e-mail that tells you if you are accepted or denied. I have an AA and a BLS card, but no idea where my points stand.
Also there is no packet anymore, all you have is one sheet to check which program you want to apply for and sign basically.
Your right. The point rubric I have is from last summer when a friend sent it to me so it is not completely accurate in terms of the new way of calculating points. Really it's only good for your grades and Hesi. The application deadline is only days away now! Points are what they are, my biggest concern is slipping through the cracks some how or something happening beyond our control.
I did okay on the HESI, I got 76 on anatomy and biology, 86 in math, and 82 in Reading Comp. So the points I got were like 96. I am a bit bothered that the AA degree points went down significantly because that is still a huge achievement. I am not a straight A student so I am now a bit worried on how my points are reflected and I did not get to see what I applied with, but we will see next month.
Have you taken the HESI yet or still waiting?

I used the HESI prep app only. It's 12 bucks by pocket prep. I'm not getting paid to promote them but it's what I used and I passed with 92or better in all subjects except anatomy in which I made a 84. 2 weeks of studying randomly every day.
