FSCJ Summer 2012 Hopefuls

I am currently taking Microbiology and plan to apply to the FSCJ RN program for May. I understand that the deadline to apply is 2-1-2012. I have already taken the NAT and I scored 100 points out of 120 on my test run. If I retake the NAT again and score higher, will I get the highest points for each section from both attempts on the PSB?

mecca37 ~ I took it in October and got an 82...I need 100 this time to get over 200 points so as you can imagine I am very nervous. What do you have on your prereq?

My total points is 191.96...I'm praying that that would be enough. What do you guys think about my chances of getting accepted??

smnurse, From reading a few of the previous threads the 'cut off' last summer was 195...but I think you still have a good chance with the points you have. I say this because a friend of my got into the program for the spring '12 term with a 185 or something around that.

I just turned in my application today! I had 202.4 so hopefully that will be enough. I got into the Spring program with a 200.48, but ended up having to give up my seat and wait till summer. My baby was only two months old and I felt like it would just be too much. I just retook the NAT and added a couple more points to my score so I am feeling good about this time around! Can't wait for the two month wait to be over and know for sure! Good luck to everyone!

jessmnorth- I am in the same boat except I didn't apply for the spring. I have a baby that turns 5 months on Friday! I still get sad thinking about leaving him when school starts full time in May but excited to start nursing. I also retook the NAT and scored a little higher. I'm hoping 203.2 is enough! lura1184, good to know that we have a little one the same age! That might make us good study partners, we'll be on the same schedule :) I'm actually going to try and start some prestudying now, like some med term and dos calc basic fraction and decimal reviews so that I won't have soo much as soon as we start! I actually have a 2 1/2 year old as well so I am very afriad that study time will be limited! Anyways, I really feel that we should both get in with our scores! Lets keep our fingers crossed!!

I am to trying to get into the Nursing program for summer! i dont really care about days or nights...I dont remember my exact points but i want to say like 210ish..i hope that is enough but i think it will be..i have read that past terms the cut off is in the 190s...i dont know how i am going to be able to wait 8 wks..i think last semster the cut off was 199 but im not sure so dont quote me lol.

BTW Nllymn1grl, 210 is an awesome score! I think the cut off for Spring was 199! Congrats!
