FSCJ NURSING SUMMER 2020

Published

Hello everyone, I hope all is well.

I haven’t seen any threads for Summer 2020 so, this will be a great way for us to network and receive valuable information and help From our fellow students. Does anyone plan on applying to FSCJ NURSING SUMMER 2020? What scores are you applying with? Any tips for preparing for the HESI A2? Are there any study groups preparing for the HESI A2? What Was the previous cut-off point?

@Jess.W Okay thank you! I guess after I take my Hesi I will email them and ask for confirmation that they got everything! I hope they do take the highest haha because I got a C in pre-calc and an A in stats... they say they take Statistics so I hope they pick that one!

@AttemptRN I could be wrong, but I think Statistics is usually a required BSN course, so if I'm correct on that, it's likely they'll take that over Precal.

@AttemptRN I didn't receive a confirmation so I'm concerned if they got it. I submitted it last deadline and never received a denial letter or anything. It does show that I applied for spring 2020 but not for summer 2020.

@Danielle1904 I would email them and confirm they relieved it. It would suck to think you applied and they never got it!

Hello everyone! I am applying for UNF's summer 2020 program but I plan on applying to FSCJ for the fall if I don't get into UNF. I was wondering if anyone has any information on what the program schedule is typically like at FSCJ? (days/times) I can't find any specific information on their website. I know that it is full time during the day.

Thanks!

@jess1022

So, from gathering information in FB groups, here's what the program typically looks like:

Mondays are reserved for proctored testing, which means no class/lab/clinical on this day. Then, depending on which cohort you are assigned, your lecture (twice a week) will start at 8a, 10a, or 5:30p, and is roughly 2.5 hours long. Lab once a week (right after 1 of the 2 lectures each week) for 1.5 hours. Clinical is once every week, which can vary from 8-12hrs, I believe. It's hard to say what days will be lecture/lab and clinical, but typically it'll be Thursday or Friday as your "free" days. Also, they do offer 1 or 2 cohorts that have lecture/lab at nights and clinicals could be the weekend.

Hope this helps!

I requested to be apart of the group a few days ago. Are you in the group that's already established for the summer 2020 term also?

Hello everyone!
I retook my hesi today for the second time to try and get more points, and thankfully I accomplished that. I was denied last semester (spring 2020) with a score of 133.3 now I have 139.8 so I am praying that I make the cutoff this time. I have uploaded a screenshot of my denial letter with the ranking range for spring 2020. I don’t have a Facebook so this is all I have to communicate with everyone, what’s everyone’s scores like? good luck everyone!

This is helpful, thank you! Do you know how they assign the cohorts? Do students get a pick?
