FSCJ Nursing - Spring 2016

Published

Hello!

I haven't seen a thread for FSCJ Spring 2016, so I thought I'd start one. Who all is planning on applying for this term start? If anyone is in the program already, any advice??

Look forward to chatting with you all. :)

Everyone seems to be on the right track, I recalculated my points and got 170. It is probably not a good idea to apply. Does anyone know any students who got in by the skin of their teeth?

You should apply even if you think your score is low. I believe I saw someone getting in to the fall program with an even lower score. Dont lose faith.

Thank you for the encouraging words I'll take your advice.

Definitely agree with ShirleyG80 heard of a lot of people getting in with scores like that

I too agree that you should still apply. I heard that when spots are declined or someone's background doesn't check out right the next person with the highest score gets in.

I agree! I have a feeling my score will be low too but I'm still going to apply. If not spring, I will try for summer! I am not giving up! No one else should either.

On another note, is there a cheap class to take the BLS CPR training at? I've looked at stat life and others and every class seems to be the same price. Just curious and searching my options. I am crunching trying to get everything done before application deadline. I still have to complete the HESI and take the cpr class. I feel so unprepared and nervous that I won't succeed in time. I'm also taking summer classes to complete my associates so I'm super busy.

Anyways thanks in advance for any information

Casey

That's right dint give up.....

I took the class in North Campus around May. The CPR class was $45 and it was only 4 hours long even though online it says 8. When you take your Hesi A2 bring your study materials and an iPod/phone. In between sessions I took 15 minute breaks and listened to songs and went over my study guide.

I just took my BLS CPR Certification a couple weeks ago at First Coast CPR. The cost was $40 for students and it is located at the Southeastern College on Southpoint Parkway. I would definitely go ahead and get it set up and out of the way so that would be one less thing to worry about so that you can concentrate on your current classes and the HESI.

I am also nervous about taking the HESI. I am trying to study as much as I can but my current classes are taking up all of my time. I am taking an 8 week American Federal Government class that was originally a 16 week course so the course load is set up for 16 weeks. Double the work in half the time. I also am taking Statistics on Saturdays and working full time. No time for anything but I know it will be worth it in the end.

I am going to be setting it up this week and also scheduling a day to take the HESI. I know the feeling of trying to study but can't because of being busy! It sucks but it will be all worth it! We can do this!!

I just signed up to take the HESI. I scheduled it for 7/27 at 12:00. 3 weeks of study time left!
