FSCJ Nursing - Spring 2016

Published

Hello!

I haven't seen a thread for FSCJ Spring 2016, so I thought I'd start one. Who all is planning on applying for this term start? If anyone is in the program already, any advice??

Look forward to chatting with you all. :)

Hi! I'm hoping to apply for the fall semester and wanted to hear from people who already know the program. Can someone tell me if I have to take Micro before I apply or if it's okay to take that course this summer? Does anyone know if it's even offered in the summer? I have a bachelor's in Health Science so I am waiting to find out if all of my other credits transfer but I never took Micro. I'm not moving back to FL until March so I can't take it until summer semester. Also, would someone be willing to send me the application packet? ([email protected]) I have no idea where I stand with points right now. I'll be taking the HESI next month hopefully and then getting my CPR cert once I get down to FL. Thanks in advance for any help you give! -Kay

Hi kepps, i am also applying for the fall term. I will be taking my HESI A2 on friday and turning things in between the 28th and the 30th. If you havent taken Micro and are planning on taking it this summer, applying for the fall wont work. The deadline is April 1st 2 weeks and 5 days away. spring 2017 will work best. Goodluck :)

What's a acceptable score on the application packets for the FSCJ nursing program??

Hoping to be in the Fall 2016 class

Hi all. I am looking to apply for the spring 2017 start. I know things can change but I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect. Can someone please email me the nursing packet [email protected] thank you!

Expect a lot of reading and be able to roll with the punches

Can you give more info about the program and you experience?

There's not much to say it is concept based learning, reverse classroom, all tests are cumulative from the whole program so term 3 could potentially question you on term 1 material

that is interesting. What exactly is a reversed classroom?

There is no more "lecture" you read everything the weekend beforehand and then in class you ask questions on what you read and practice skills/collaborative learning exercises

Hi!

I just took my hesi today and did terrible.

I am applying with 176.7 total points...

I know one semester the cut off score was around 165. But I've also heard that 165 was super low compared to the rest of the cut off scores, so I'm not expecting to get in.

I got a C in microbiology, which really hurt my prereq points. Does anyone know if you can retake a class you got a C in?

I just applied for the summer 17 term. I have all my pre reqs done except mac1105 which I am taking this semester. I am wondering for those that got in what your total points were. I got a 84 on my HESI so my points with out MAC1105 is 191.7 just wondering if there is any hope for me to get in with 191 points. Thanks

did you get in? what was in your denial letter?
