FSCJ Nursing Fall 2016

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hello everyone!

I haven't come across a thread for FSCJ Fall 2016 yet, so I wanted to make one. I know it's a little early, but I'm really excited! Who is planning on applying for this term? If anyone has gone through the process of the program already please give us advice.

Looking forward to talking with all of you and good luck!:)

Also, I would go to the nursing office. Because everytime I go to a regular advisor they have no idea about anything lol

Lol. Yeah I will have to make it up there sometime to talk to one of the advisors in the nursing office, thanks.

No problem! Are you or anyone else applying to unf as well?

Hi everyone!

I, too, am applying for the Fall 2016 term and I will be taking the HESI on January 7. I currently live in Daytona, so I haven't been able to make it up to North Campus to pick up an application yet to calculate my points... which building/office can I pick up an application at? (or if any of you are able to e-mail me the application packet, that would be awesome too! ;) [email protected]).

I'm also applying to the accelerated BSN programs at UNF, JU, FAU, and UF.

You can pick it up in building C :) there will be signs that will lead you to the nursing office. I can email you the packet as well. When do you plan on being here in jax? Are you applying for fall 2016 for UNF as well? When do you plan on taking the TEAS at unf?

Thank you so much for sending it to me! I will be in Jacksonville at least once a week next semester since I signed up for Micro at FSCJ, so I'll head to the nursing office when spring classes start. I'm actually applying for the Summer 2016 UNF program and I took the TEAS about a month ago - it wasn't too bad... the ATI TEAS study book was extremely helpful for me!

No problem! Who are you taking micro with? I took it with andrea lorincz and she was an awesome professor! That is awesome to hear! Did you reach the minimum score needed? If you dont mind me asking. Also , was the ATI TEAS studyguide the only material you used to study? I just purchased mine yesturday online so it should be here soon. I am so nervous for it, was there alot of chemistry/or how was it like? Lol sorry for all the questions!!!

At this point I'm not applying to UNF. I need human nutrition and I'm also missing some foreign language credits. I am taking both next semester with Micro so if I don't get in for fall than I will try again for FSCJ and UNF the following semester. When are you applying to UNF?

WELCOME!!! :) @kaymjay

I am applying for fall 2016. I just have to schedule my TEAS :) so fingers crossed. I rather go to UNF.

I'm taking Micro with David Beall. Because I'm not a full time student at FSCJ, I was given one of the last time slots to sign up for classes, so that's who I ended up with... but he has decent reviews on ratemyprofessor, so fingers crossed! And for the TEAS, my adjusted individual score was 86% and I used the ATI study manual and then watched random youtube videos. The science portion was pretty tough - I hadn't taken Chemistry yet at the time I took the test and there were definitely several Chemistry questions on there, so I struggled a bit in that area. Also, I almost ran out of time on the math section but I managed to do the best in math. Doing practice tests is extremely helpful so you can get an idea of the time you have per section. I studied for only about a month before the test too.

I am sure you won't have a problem! I loved micro! An 86 is awesome!!!!!! You will def get an interview. Did math go any higher than algebra?

Did you have more chem on your test than anatomy ? I am not too fond of chem. i took the hesi already at fscj and it was very easy!
