I know this is early, but I am sure there are Fall hopefuls out there for 2011.
Anyone out there yet, or am I just overly eager?
The timing is what killed me, you get about 20 sec per question. The reading comprehension is what hurt me, it takes too long, I was about half way through when I realized the time is running out so I christmas tree'd the rest and still didn't get to answer the last 5. The math wasn't hard, some basic word problems and I did very well on the science portion. According to their chart, I did very well on 2 portions and low on the reading comp. but my score is so low, I was shocked. I am normally a really good test taker and I'm very good in school, so I don't know what happened. I know, I hate that this test can make or break you, it's almost unfair. I busted my butt and got all A's in all my classes and get a 204 but someone else could have A's, B's, and C's and do really good on the NAT and get the same points..
The NAT would not be so bad if it's not for time restrictions. There are so many questions with very limited time. I agree with you on the part where someone could have A's, B's, and C's and get lucky on the NAT and they are in. Because if you think about it the NAT comprises 50% of the points.

I got 99 for my percentile in reading comp and I found that the best way to do it is to read the two questions first and then skim for where the answer is and not read the whole piece. Just keep doing that for each two question section and you will be able to finish the whole section. However from what I understand 204 should get you in. Good Luck if you retake the test though.
NJCheyla - yep, it is 24 seats from what I have heard from everybody. Hopefully there are not to many applicants for n/w! Looks like most of us here want that. I was curious though as to how that worked..if you apply for n/w but dont get it, do they automaticaly accept you for days if your above the cutoff? Im assumung so...probably why people decline seats (because I dont see why ANYONE would decline a seat after being accepted other than for that reason).
I ordered a couple books yesterday to help prepare for the NAT. Did any of you use any type of study guide? Did it help? And I am def doing that for the reading comp..i always do...read questions and then find the answers. It takes way too long to read those entire passages.
I just got a book from a friend, not sure how effective it will be. I haven't opened it yet. I plan on digging in over Spring Break. I also need to do a little bit of self-teaching on Microbiology as I won't be taking that class until Summer. Now that I know how limited the N/W seats will be, I am even more motivated to study!
If I were offered Days, I don't think I could take it. I have to work FT and we don't have night shift where I currently work.

I really hope you get in for the n/w then! That would really stink to have to decline a seat. I will be right there with ya, studying over spring break for this thing. I did hear that there wasn't really any Micro on it, but it sure won't hurt to familiarize yourself with it. Is this correct for those of you that have taken it? Not much Micro? I dont wanna give any wrong info! :)
I have taken the NAT twice and the second time got 99 points. I used this website http://cfcc.edu/learninglab/PSB/PSB.htm and a book from downtown campus library and it helped me a lot. I improved 10 points.
