FSCJ Fall 2015 Hopefuls

Published

I know it is a little early for this but I just didnt want to wait. I want to see where everyone stands on their classes and when they will be or have taken the HESI. I am enrolled in my last two prerequisites and I will be starting them in January which are my A&P2 and Micro. I am hoping to take the HESI either in February or March after I have had most of my classes finished.

I also received the packet from Cheryl and started calculating my points as I go. Ready to get this next semester finished and the HESI completed.

I received my acceptance packet for LPN for fall 2015 yesterday. Just wanted to update in case anyone else is looking for answers. Good luck to everyone!

Can some please message me the email we are supposed to reply to? I'm out of town and I keep getting a message send failure! í ½í¸©í ½í¸©í ½í¸©í ½í¸©í ½í¸© Is their email slammed packed ? Hahah

I got in days!! :) Will try to see if I can add you to be added to the group! Thanks! :)

I got in for days!! I am so excited!! :)

I need help with my Nursing application. I've tried several time's to reach out to the nursing director but she gives me such vague answer's or she'll just 'copy and paste'.

Question 1: I have experience in the dental field. Does anyone know FOR A FACT that it counts as experience? There is a section on the application that says 'assistant' so I was going to put my points in that slot.

Question 2: Health related work experience documentation must be on employer letterhead. What does that mean???? What letterhead are they referring to?

Question 3: When adding my pointed up, for PREREQUISITES, there are 2 columns [credit] and [weighed value which is 1.5 or 0.5]. Which column do I use to multiply my grade points?

THank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!

@krstybrght.....Not sure about dental experience counting (?) My suggestion would be put it on there and see if they include it, better to include it that leave it out entirely and miss the opportunity if it does?

Experience on company letterhead.....tell your employer/administration staff you need a letter stating work experience on company letterhead, SOMEONE will know exactly what that means, without me going into detail explaining it to you :)

In regard to calculating prerequisites, I can't see your calculation sheet so follow the instructions to the letter. Sorry I can't be of much help there I would have to have it in front of me to be able to assist you better.

May I suggest taking your issues to the North Campus office in person? They are really nice folks and I'm sure they will be able to assist you better, if it were myself that is what I would do to insure my application is filled out correctly and not passed over or rejected due to error. Worth the trip if this is really what you want to do.

Hope that helps, good luck to you!!!!!

I applied for this fall's RN program and I STILL haven't heard a thing!!! No acceptance package or denial letter. And it's been well beyond the time they sent my last letter. I called Ms. Cheryl but got no answer. I did leave her a voicemail but I still haven't heard anything back from her. What's going on?

Hello future nurses-

I'm taking my Hesi A2 entrance test tomorrow! Yikes!! I am soo nervous! I've been using the Amission Assesssment Exam review by Elsevier BUT, could someone tell me exactly what I should focus more on?

Chemistry? What should I focus on? I'm super nervous about this since I haven't taken chemistry in a few years and to me, it's like learning a new language.

Math? I'm fine with the basic's but, the conversions are killing me. Any advice on how to remember them?

Anatomy? What exactly should I be memorizing? The bones? The systems?

Ahhh. lol

Chemistry isn't part of the FSCJ HESI entrance exam.

You might have already taken it by now but chemistry isn't on the test. For math, a lot of fractions and ratios. Anatomy is pretty simple. Biology has a lot of cell questions. Make flash cards !!!
