FSCJ Fall 2015 Hopefuls

I know it is a little early for this but I just didnt want to wait. I want to see where everyone stands on their classes and when they will be or have taken the HESI. I am enrolled in my last two prerequisites and I will be starting them in January which are my A&P2 and Micro. I am hoping to take the HESI either in February or March after I have had most of my classes finished.

I also received the packet from Cheryl and started calculating my points as I go. Ready to get this next semester finished and the HESI completed.

You will definitely boost your score! I studied for about 2 months and read over my biology and AP books and it helped me. I got a 92% on HESI and had 215 points if I calculated it right! You applied to the program already right ?

I hope so! I'm going to re take it if I don't get in for fall 2015. I'm not counting on it so I have already started reviewing the material again. Wow! That's a great score on the exam! I hope to get something like your score :) I did apply for fall already but I miscalculated my score so I'm not feeling so confident anymore. 215?! That's awesome, you'll definitely get accepted! Don't even sweat it!

Can anybody tell me the correct way to calculate our total points from the grade section in the packet?

Is is it for example

say I got an "A" in A&P1 is that 4x4=16

& so on.....

or do I do 4x4=16 x 1.5??

For an A in A&P 1 it would be 4x4=16x1.5=24....you have to look at the packet because certain classes are weighted at 1.5 and then some are only at .5.

For the AP I was asked a bunch on anatomical terms and mitosis and meiosis for both AP and bio. Biology section asked me a few questions about the shrinking and bursting of a cell with water coming in and out. Goodluck studying! Hopefully you get in for fall though

It seems there are several of us waiting upon waiting for that "pretty white envelope with the ominous word Congratulations!! I am hopeful it doesn't take the full 8 weeks to sort through the piles of applications and that maybe people were enjoying vacations and holiday break. Thank you for creating this blog. Kinda nice knowing I am not in this wait alone.

Ugh! I was getting all excited because of another time line that was posted earlier thinking it was getting closer and closer 😩 I really hope it's not the full 8 weeks. I really don't see how it can take that long. Even if there were 500 applications.... It doesn't take but a few minutes to calculate each one up. 😩 putting them in order would be the hardest part but even then a day or two max. And that's not even with weeding out those that wouldn't make the cut ( say lower than 160) first. 😩😩

this his wait time is ridiculous 😡
