FSCJ Fall 2015 Hopefuls

Published

I know it is a little early for this but I just didnt want to wait. I want to see where everyone stands on their classes and when they will be or have taken the HESI. I am enrolled in my last two prerequisites and I will be starting them in January which are my A&P2 and Micro. I am hoping to take the HESI either in February or March after I have had most of my classes finished.

I also received the packet from Cheryl and started calculating my points as I go. Ready to get this next semester finished and the HESI completed.

The 27th is eight weeks :cautious: Two weeks away.
:o

But who's counting???!!

Unfortunately it will be a long wait! :angrybird5: she says it will take the whole 8 weeks and won't be sending those letters until first week of June. I agree with you guys! I think they are trying to torture us!! :nailbiting: What is everyone's score so far? I know some of you have 200+ points. Mine is 186 and hanging... I hope it will be enough. :sarcastic: *thinking positive*

I am hanging with you with a 186.6. I decided to take the HESI A2 last minute no studying and got a cum. score of 80%. I am hopeful to get in. I apparently needed to brush up on Chemistry...Just thinking positive is the key.

I got a score of 187.5 I didn't realize that there was a drop down calculator within the HESI, and with math being my worse subject it brought down my overall score, but everything else I rocked!! Hopefully it'll be good enough especially with a 4.0 GPA.

FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!!

If I calculated correctly I believe I'm sitting at 198.6. Which in retrospect took me less that five minutes to calculate on the application. Which leads me to wonder, "What in the world is taking them so long"!?!?!

Does anyone know how long we have to get all of the shot information/ drug testing and background screening in? (If accepted). I am going out of state for a week June 24th so I'm hoping I can get appointments before I leave.

Typically all the info comes in packet. However, ordinarily I would think the dates to have it all in would be on or around orientation dates leading up to first few days of classes.

Okay awesome thank you !

Any updated news?

Spoke with Cheryl last week. She told me first day of June as well and that there were A LOT of applications they had to go through. í ½í¸” I "need" to know now. I have things on hold waiting to find out. I need to get out of this holding pattern í ½í¸©í ½í¸©í ½í¸© Blah! So frustrating.

She emailed me and said by the first week of June Letters should be sent out... but I'm trying to enjoy the next two weeks and just know it will be coming soon hopefully, and that time will "zoom by" Like it seems to with everything else. I guess that's why I always want to know an outcome before hand.

Hi Everyone!! Just hang in there a little bit longer. I completely understand being anxious trying to figure everything out. I am currently in second term of the program and I still remember waiting for my packet. Felt like the longest 6 weeks of my life! Just enjoy the last couple weeks that you have your freedom because once you get your packet you will have a lot to do. Since they changed the deadlines you may have longer then we did but once I got my packet I only had 2 weeks and it was around the holidays which made it a little more difficult and stressful. Not only do you have a lot to do before you start school but the first semester is ALOT, I believe they are changing some of the curriculum starting in the fall to better incorporate pharmacology into the other classes rather than having it as a stand alone class but that is the only difference that I am aware of. Good luck everyone and like I said enjoy your freedom while you still can!!
