FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

I have a really good study guide for the Hesi I got off of Amazon. Let me know if anyone wants it, I didn't use it a lot but it helpful when studying for my NAT also. I also have a study guide from Arco I used, it was pretty old when I got it but has a bunch of practice tests in it, I don't think I marked it up too much.

Our packets say to call and leave a message accepting your seat by July 28, not July 25. Which is Monday. Your best bet is to go to FSCJ North Campus Nursing Department early Monday morning and speak to someone directly.

For those that are posting about when to call, read your packet carefully. It says to call on 7/28. Not by 7/28. They may not accept your reservation prior to the date listed.

Help! I posted on the Facebook page but didn't really get an answer, so I didn't turn in one paper with my drug test and everything because I was confused where it went and I was missing a paper. Do I just need to make a new folder and resubmit everything, or can I just turn in the poster?

Hello everyone! I have been following for quite some time. I received my denial letter and I noticed my score was miscalculated by the school by 6 points. I have calculated my score multiple times as well as had my husband and mother in law do it and we all get a total of 188.48. The school put on my packet a 182.48. I believe that the school used my old Psychology grade instead of my "A" I earned from a retake. Has this happened to anyone else?

You should go up to the school and speak with someone in the Nursing dept to conform your info. If you are correct, they will fix it.

Does anyone know if we turned our packet in with all of our health results, but realized there were ranges missing for one of our titer test for hep B can we go back and give them the page with the titer ranges? the dr office made a mistake, i just didnt' know if anyone knew if i could go back up there and re turn in that page and have them add it to my folder?

You are incorrect. This coming from a first term nursing student who called right when I received my packet. Think of it this way, think of how many people are accepted into the program. Do you really think they want a hundred people calling on the same exact day? So anyone reading this please don't think that your seat didn't get saved because you call prior to the 28th

Has anyone received the student handbook in their emails for the scavenger hunt? I've turned in everything to FSCJ already, my background check info and all the medical info... My scavenger hunt is completed already... I just haven't received that student handbook yet so I can't turn it in.

I don't know if you already got a response for this but the packets were sent to our FSCJ email 8/4
