FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Published

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

I was very comfortable applying with a 192 which was my score prior to retaking the NAT. Looking back at the last 5 terms, the highest cut off was 187.2 which was Fall 2013. The average score is 183.73. Of course it is all going to depend on the number of applicants and their scores, but I was confident going in with a 192. I just retook the NAT because I could, and I had nothing to lose. Most applicants going into nights and weekends need the higher scores because there are very limited spaces for that program.

Awesome! That makes me feel a lot better! This will be the second semester I've applied for so I'm really hoping to get in. I handed in my application today... I can't wait until they send out the decision letters!

I handed my application in this morning... I can't wait until they send out the decision letters! I will definitely be spending the next 8 weeks anxiously awaiting my letter. Good luck to everyone!!!

8 weeks is going to seem like eternity. I am taking the last classes that I need to complete my AA degree during this summer term, but I am struggling with focusing on those because I think about the nursing program too much :woot:.

There was a lot of confusion about the deadline date being May 1st instead of June 1st, so I wonder how many people did not submit their packet because they thought they missed it? I even saw they had May 1st posted on the wall in C 212 as the deadline date. Sounds like many changes are in store for the upcoming terms.

Congrats, what do u have left? I wonder how many students didn't submit their application too. Hopefully they will not take the full 8 weeks to send out our letters.

Does it usually take the full 8 weeks or do they say that just in case?

They say that just in case. There was at least one semester I know of when letters were sent out early

So I was snooping back in somewhere in 2011 the cutoff was over 200!!!! There are 144 seats total for days and n/w?

Update guys: So I took the NAT last Wednesday and I did a WHOLE lot better than before. I was able to raise my score up from 78 :barf02: to 95 points , although I would've preferred to score in the 100s range I'm still glad I was able to do much better this time around. I already completed my application and went to North Campus to turn it in last week as well. I'm applying with 202 points, so I'm really hoping I get in, fingers crossed!!!!!

PS: Does somebody know what date the fall program starts?

144 seats for days and only 24 for n/w for the fall and spring semesters. 96 seats for days and 24 seats for n/w during the summer.
