Frustrated/ Don't know what to do

U.S.A. Alabama

Hi,

Here's my story. I'm currently a LPN and am trying desperately to get into a bridge program from whatever school will accept me. I'm finished with all core/pre requisite classes but the thing is I didn't do so well in A & P I/II. I got a C in each lecture and a B in each lab, which labs really don't matter when it comes to being admitted. I took both of them over and was 2 points away from a B. I'm just not good with science or math but that's another story altogether and I don't want to speak anymore negativity into the atmosphere. I have applied here in GA to the school that I've gone to for the longest twice and was denied :crying2: but that was without Micro. I have now completed Micro and am awaiting my grade which I know is an A but wont help much with the points system which is what most schools in ALA use.

I'm relocating to Huntsville within the next month but I haven't been accepted to Calhoun Community College yet and I'm remaining hopeful. My frustration comes from the fact that here in GA when entering school a compass exam is necessary. Well, I took the compass and was placed in learning support math 97 and had to complete 97 and 98, then College Alg. I was so concerned about doing well in math because I had to retake the compass that I only took 1 other class with math so that was a total of 3 semesters of math basically. I'm saying all that to say that my compass is about to expire and I haven't been accepted into a nursing program yet. So I have all the strikes against me:mad:: the fact that my compass is about to expire, my grades aren't good in the one area that matters most and I haven't been accepted to a nursing program yet. I don't know if I should just stop proceeding with nursing and go in another direction or what. My chances are sort of slim if you take the points system into consideration.

Has anyone experienced anything of this nature ever? Or know of anyone that hasn't had straight A's or B's to get accepted into Calhoun?

Signed,
