Yesterday was nice, got out bird watching earlier then went to my cousin's for Thanksgiving.  Only 6 of us there, but we had a good time.  My cousin is going to bring some food to my dad today.  Rest of the day was pretty quiet

Today will try and bird watch again today if it's not too cold. Not much else planned apart from some online shopping.  Decided this year not going to stress about Christmas shopping, just going to do a little research and buy things that seem appropriate rather than pestering people for suggestions on what the ideal gift would be

Going to be rather cold today, will only get up to the upper 20s with some snow this morning

Dubious Morning to y'all..... Guess who isn't coming today? Yes, I just got a text from SiL which said that CG called and she isn't (or can't be ?) coming to take care of Nannie today. Why am I not surprised?  SiL also texted that she and BiL will be bringing over "supplies for the month", whatever that means. The bottom of the closet in Nannie's bathroom already has several packages of all of the disposable incontinence care products. Maybe they will bring BOOST, but I can't think of what else.

It doesn't matter anyway. 

Like the t-shirt says: "SOMEBODY SHOULD DO SOMETHING." Guess I'm elected, so I gotta get up, get dressed and go downstairs and 'go to work' on my nice DAY OFF.

Very little going on here. I had hopes of accomplishing more but have felt a little off and didn't sleep well. It is my brother's birthday so I will call him in a little bit. Might go to the store for some Boost for Gma and maybe some Gatorade for me.

After yesterday's busy-ness with cooking and enjoying time with family, it's a day to relax. The dogs were pretty nervous with all the people yesterday, so today they are zonked out. I did take them for a walk. The weather is cool and feels damp. PBS is having a marathon of All Creatures Great and Small, which is fun to rewatch.

I have no urge to go anywhere today. dh says he may go Christmas shopping tomorrow. We have had at least 3 discussions as to where to put the tree this year. I consistently say the front window, where it has been for the last 5 years. dh doesn't agree, but he won't say so. He just keeps asking "where should we put the tree this year?" Sigh.

I didn't sleep well at ALL, so I napped when dh fed the critters.  Feeling better now.  I need to do a load of laundry, and shred some papers.  Nothing earth-shaking going on besides those two things. 

We had a good dinner yesterday at the steakhouse, with oldest ds, and then we enjoyed leftovers for supper!  I still have some spice cookies, though dh is making quite the dent in the supply..  I will bake more on Sunday. 

Oh, and I happened upon the movie Mary Poppins playing on "regular" TV.  What a blast from the childhood past!  Really enjoyed watching it as an adult.  I can see why it won many awards.  Dh enjoys the more recent "Saving Mr. Banks" movie, about the making of Mary Poppins and the resistance of the book's author to Walt Disney's vision for making the book into a movie. 

It's fall-like weather outside, yay!  Lots of pinecones on the ground, and (of course) leaves.  A little chill in the air, especially after the sun goes down (which is way too early!).

My favorite bit of dialog from MARY POPPINS was when she said to the little boy: "Close your mouth, Michael; we are not a codfish."

BiL and SiL brought lots more of the ever disappearing disposables. SiL is coming over on Monday to bathe Nannie and do her hair. then take her to the doc's appt at 10:40 AM. It's just a follow-up to her ER visit. I don't think SiL plans on doing anything else with Nannie that day. Oh well.

Time for bed.

G'day.

I put the air conditioner on for a bit before I went to bed as it was stuffy.  Today is cooler and the heat might kick in.  That's Fall in Florida.

Med-surg hell was starting with six to one, sending three people to surgery and getting all three back, discharging two and getting two admissions and clocking out at 9pm.  

Sigh.....

Tweety, that sounds like an awful lot of paperwork (computer-work) to have to complete. UGH!
