Not having heard otherwise from SiL about this AM, I assumed it would be me getting Nannie up and ready for the day. I had the alarm set for 7:30 AM so I could hit the 'snooze button' several times before actually getting up at 8 AM. Did not hear SIL come in this morning, so I was surprised to find Nannie's used breakfast tray in the kitchen, her bedroom door open, and no one else here but me and Tinker. Nice surprise! Now I am so bleary-eyed I have been debating with myself if I want to sleep a little more. At first I thought that since I was awake, I might as well seize the moment and get up to start my day. Then I decided that another hour of sleep would be good for me, since the opportunity has presented itself. Thus, I am putting my laptop down so I can lean back and close my eyes again.
A prolly will be back here laydah. See yez!
Good morning!
Joe, Happy Birthday! Enjoy the Christmas Market, although I have an opinion about Christmas prior to Thanksgiving but that's another post.
Stars, glad that Nannie was take care of this morning.
Dianah so far you have such sleeping issues. As you know I can relate. Wish it would get better for you.
I hate that on every podcast or health related show they talk about the importance of sleep for optimal health and longevity, how poor sleep is connected to illness. I'm doomed.
I stayed up after giving Waffles her breakfast around 7:00AM and my intention is to stay up and not go back and take a nap. This way perhaps I can get to be early and break that pattern of staying up too late. When I retire I'm sure to go back to my late night tendencies.
I have a little lingering cough but mostly recovered from he febrile illness I had Tuesday morning. My GI system is not recovered unfortunately.
Not much going on today. Maybe "potter about" as the Aussies say and pick up around here. The place is looking a little lived in. There's a hot yoga class this evening at 5:45 I might try to make.
Have a great day.
Yep, I slept another hour, and as usual, since then I have been dragging my heels again. And my balance in checking is waaaaaay off from the banks balance, and not to my favor! And now, and I mean it, NOW I am going up to my room to start rearranging the bedside shelves and throwing stuff out prior to straightening it up. I have come to the conclusion that I am a slothful slob. But I can blame it all on Nannie because this living arrangement has eaten my personal life. It always seems HER needs are always more important than mine. There are only three hours until I have to go pick up the Nannie-person, so I better get a move-on and go upstairs to start in on MY plan, before the clock shrieks "TIME'S UP!"
Happy birthday, Joe! Enjoy the Christmas market.
I have always been a night owl so I'm sure that in retirement I will not be an early riser. Hubs is.
I asked for and received a nasal mask instead of full-face mask to try with my CPAP. My statistics still look good but I am not sleeping well. Even though I much prefer the mask that doesn't cover my face. Will see if I can find some instructional videos about using this new mask.
Happy birthday Joe!
My dh and youngest ds wear nasal pillows that they find quite comfortable, once the correct size was found.
I took the dogs to the beach for a walk. On the way I stopped and got an eggnog latte as a treat, and then spilled it on one of the dogs as I was stepping off a log. D'oh. And the dogs got excited about some smell in the park grass, then rolled in what turned out to be goose poo. Fortunately or unfortunately, I had dressed them in their nice, new hoodies. So, those are soaking in the washer, and Punch got a quick bath when we got home.
I am going with dh to his cardiology appointment today. I am afraid they will try to talk him into a heart cath, which I think is way too invasive for someone who does not have angina or a reduced ejection fraction. He was only referred to cardiology because he gets brief dizzy spells, not associated with exertion, or change in vitals or blood sugar.
I, too, played rotisserie last night. My hips and back have been achy.
Happy Birthday Joe!
I put our trash barrels out last night, and today I noticed they weren't out at the end of the driveway ....and nobody had brought them back to our house! (All I could think of was a line from a Snoopy cartoon, which makes no sense, but it is what came to my mind: "Someone has stolen my polar-cow!" 🙄) I called BiL because he pays the bills from here, which he receives at his house. He called them and he said some guy with a very thick accent told him they would be delivering 'new' trash bins...."On the 29th" What? I have to wait a week-plus to get something to put our trash into? Makes no sense to me! I know they were old and had damages from being used for over ten years (cracks, etc,) But I don't understand why they did not say a word to us. Anyway, BiL has an extra trash barrel which he said he will bring over here for us to use in the meantime. Weird how they just 'disppeared'!
Time to preheat the oven so I can put a pizza in it, AFTER I add things to the top of it, like olives and ham and cheese, and whatever else I can find that would add some pizazz to the plain 'white cheese' pizza.
Pizza sounds good, No Stars! Yes, WEIRD about the trash bins! Glad BiL has a bin you can use in the interim.
I just got up from my second nap of the day (after not sleeping till after 6am). Still feeling lethargic but not constant sneezing and blowing nose (though I can tell my sinuses have had a party up there, and it's the 'morning after').
Tonight is Christmas Tree lighting festivities at a nearby town, and friend's band is playing for the event. I mentioned to dh I'd like to go, but I don't think that's a good idea right now, in my present state. Not a night to be walking about, in the cold. Not good to get chilled. So, we won't go. Disappointed, but there you are.
Have a good evening!

Hi Stars
Was a good day at work, fairly quiet, nothing unexpected. Had time at the end of the day to help others
Rest of the day was quiet too, just exercised and relaxed
Have today off for my birthday. Will get some bird watching in this morning. Then will take the train downtown to the Christmas market and the Art Institute
Going to be cooler today, in the upper 40s, thankfully no rain
