It is 🌟 MORNING, and I am awake! And breathing! I had the alarm clock set for 7:45 AM so I could get up and unlock the doors for SiL., before she got here and before she had to send me a text telling me to come let her in. Timed it perfectly, because as soon as I climbed back into bed, I heard her thumping around downstairs. I have fed Momo and have a cup of coffee here at my bedside.
Plan on staying awake until SiL hauls Nannie off to daycare, then I want to get up to continue the straightening out and reorganizing in the former main bedroom, which is now the 'guest' room (like we have guests! HAH!). Then, at least there will be specified boxes set aside which will make it easier to get stuff GONE when it is 'hauling off' time. I can put the donations in my car and when I go get that "elusive" (my functional 'remembery' as my mom used to call it) YOGURT I keep forgetting, And as long as I am out, I can also stop and drop things off at the women's shelter's thrift shop.
Now that I think of it, there is also a large mirrored dresser the Salvation Army can haul off next week, when I call them to come get the bed-frames. I'll just have them go up to the main bedroom and take the mirror off, the empty drawers out, and spirit all the parts away. Have to store all the extra blankets in the closet once I clean that out; right now they are folded on the end of the bed and it doesn't look 'inviting'. I will derive a great deal of pleasure from having all that taken care of and by the time the iL's get back from their beach vacation, VOILA! They can SEE what I can accomplish when I don't get interrupted all day long! Hopefully it then will all be easier to keep everything corralled and neat(-ish) Then it'll just be the kitchen and the laundry I have to keep up with. And hoping to NOT continue to toss stuff down in my room, but instead, putting it away immediately if not sooner!
The Allegra I took yesterday seemed to help my neck and shoulders stop itching last night, so I could mostly stop scratching! But I am only allowed to take it only once, q24 hrs. I am dubious about a meds ability to hang around and work well by the time 12 hrs have passed by.Have to be cognizant of what clothes I need to re-launder to get the TIDE out of them. Then if things don't clear up, we'll have to hunt for some other cause of the itchy rash, which I pray we won't have to do (like an elimination diet).
Anyway, SiL has finished with Nannie and I heard her car doors shut, so that is my cue to get up and "git 'er done!".
Later....
Just sent step-dgt a longish text about cleaning out room and finding stuff she MIGHT be interested in having. I told her there was no rush, because I'm not through yet, but that when it is all done.....maybe she can come down and pick it up to take back with her.Lots of photos she might want and some baby clothes I think may have been hers. Nobody up there in her family is expecting and I don't really think they are wearable; some are stained. But she might have some sentimental feelings about them. So I have saved them. She also wants the white bed-frame and dresser that I was planning on giving to Salv.Army, so it's a good thing she mentioned that; she'd 'hate' me even more for getting rid of it if she planned on keeping it. Communication sometimes does help y'know? I told her there's no rush; I don't want her taking a wild hair to drive down here without informing me she was coming. YIKES!
Hi. The sunshine has reappeared after a rainy day yesterday.
My arm is sore from pulling weeds. The durn things are flowering and I like to get them out before they go to seed. A bruise has appeared on my shoulder and armpit. Sleep is better, which is good because I am down to 2 pain pills. My foot is finally hurting less, so I expect next Tuesday will be my last session with them. I have a massage booked for tomorrow, and I'll have her concentrate on my calf and foot, that I'm told is tight.
I am doing some laundry today. I f dh goes out to garden, I can turn off the tv and take a nap.
I should call older sis to see how her cancer treatment is going. she finally agreed to take a steroid for the chemo-related colitis. at 89 lb, she can't afford to lose weight.
Got most of the laundry done, did all the dishes, ran out to drop off donations to the thrift shop, Went to grocery store and stocked up on Nannie's yogurts (got a DOZEN!) and the laundry detergents and spot removers, so I can do another load of laundry tomorrow, sans TIDE. If I can get all my clothing washed with ALL, I won't have to wonder when I put something on, if it was washed in TIDE or not, because the answer will be 'NOT'. I can say, 'All was done in ALL.' [How exciting!]
S'posta get a big thunderstorm this afternoon/evening/night.....whichever. So far it is not here. Just saw a few sprinkles while I was out, not enough even to be called a 'rain shower'. Oops! NOW it is raining. Well at least it waited until I got home.
AND, I do not have to go pick up Nannie this afternoon, because BiL will do it.
Hello all!
Yay, you sure got a lot done, No Stars! ALL of it!! I hope the itching finally disappears.
Joe, nice to have plans for a meal with friends.
nursej22, glad you are sleeping better and sounds like you are healing well.
The pumpkin bread turned out a little dry, and since I used stevia instead of sugar, it didn't "bake" well (which I suspected, even though oven temp was 325 and I have read not to use stevia above 350 degrees) --- which means it wasn't sweet enuf for me! The recipe also didn't call for any fat in it: no shortening, lard, butter, oil. So I sliced the baked loaf, and slathered mine with butter and sprinkled stevia and more cinnamon on it, and enjoyed that! Dh poured some maple syrup over his, and was content with that.
We finished watching the last (the 9th movie!) of the Star Wars trilogies. So, we are caught up. Now, apparently, we need to watch The Mandalorian (to meet that character and the Grogu ["baby Yoda"] that we have seen at Batuu [Star Wars Land] at Disneyland). And then, a new series, Andor, has started -- another off-shoot of the Star Wars theme!!?
We did practice the songs we will do for the wedding, so check that off your lists please! Tomorrow we will attend Zoom Sabbath School and relax before driving out to the venue on Sunday (about 2-3 hr drive).
Have a good evening!
I loved the original Star Wars movies and watched the second set but haven't watched any of the other stuff.
I'm back in my motel room for the evening though if I do get hungry there's a burger bar across the street. I'm kind of chicken about driving in the unfamiliar city. I did go to The Gathering Place, basically a park along the river in Tulsa that I've heard a lot about. Would be a fun place with kids.
I'll leave for home after tomorrow's session that ends around noon.
G'day.
J22, hope you continue to heal.
Work was steady busy, but no major issues. One of my favorite coworkers switched to nights to do charge to fill a whole (while making a $500 bonus) worked tonight and we gabbed too much during hand off and I left around 8:30.
I've seen maybe five of the Star Wars movies. I saw the original in the theaters when it became a world wide phenomenon and thought it was the best movie ever. Didn't see the sequels until years later on VCR tapes. I think I saw the prequels when they came out in the 90's but it's all so complicated I couldn't keep up. LOL
Off for a few days now. Nothing much going on and no big plans.
Have a nice evening.

Hi NJ22
Finally had a good day at work yesterday, nice and slow and nothing unexpected. Had time to do some online training and still could take it easy. Hoping today will be the same
After work went stopped by the grocery store and the library and then got a haircut. Tried to exercise too but my knee was acting up so I cut it short
Today after work will meet my church friend D for dinner at a German restaurant. I think another church friend is going to join us there
Should be fairly warm today, think it will get up to about 80
