Stars I don't care for fish with bones and skin either

Hi Tweety

Dianah the counseling yesterday went well, gave me more to think about

Ado ratings patients would be rather interesting

Pretty good day at work yesterday, although I got another new case at the very end of the day, as seems to happen a lot lately

Counseling was good, gave me stuff to think about.   Am having some anxiety about the depth of changes needed, but that's to be expected

Rest of the day was fairly quiet.  So far liking the book club book.  Did some research on local volunteer organizations

Today should be fairly ordinary.  Will do laundry today as the weekend will be quite busy. Might continue Spring cleaning as well

Good morning. It's rainy and 40 degrees. Yuck. It was mostly sunny yesterday, but I spent most of it inside, in class. This week's topic was weeds. One of the speakers had actual potted up weeds for people to practice id'ing. I did pretty well because I've had most of them in my yard, LOL.

Yesterday was also the first day of my retirement. It just doesn't seem real. On Tuesday my coworkers took me out for Tacos and then we went for a walk in the park. It was quite nice. Wednesday we had cake and they presented me with some gifts: a fleece blanket, a mug, and key chain. It was really quite sweet. I turned in my badge and cell phone and that was it.

Today we are going plant shopping and then out to lunch. But first, I need to get the dog walked.

I am not a fan of fish, but fried with skin and bones? Dh prefers his salmon without the bones, and cooked with the skin on but he doesn't eat it. He likes to chop it up finely and gives to the dog. And he prefers fresh local or Alaska salmon, fresh.

Oh my, Annie, you have a tough situation to deal with. I am sending you big hugs.

Joe, I admire you for jumping in to make so many changes. What book are you reading?

Dianah, I hope spending time with your kids brings you some comfort after the loss of your sis. I know when each of my parents passed, they were sure everything was done and paid for, but we were surprised. I think this is something I will look into for us in the coming months.

Tweety, charge and no patients! Fabulous!

Tweety, I used to hear about the free charge nurse, but I always thought it was a myth ?

J22, tacos, a walk, and cake (on different days) sounds like a perfect way to celebrate retirement. I remember when I turned in my badge and company credit card at first career, after 25 years. It was a very strange feeling.

I dread leaving this job because I dread having to train someone else to do it. Otherwise it would be because the hospital closed and I don't even want to think about that. Another large hospital system is putting in an urgent care right across the street

It rained all day yesterday which is great for many things but does continue to delay getting the road to the hospital finished. I'm pretty disgusted that we've been here four months and still don't have the road. We use a temporary road and it's not ideal. At least the state approved it for us to use.

Today is sunny; tomorrow should be 75 degrees. My book club meets tomorrow afternoon to discuss the boring book I picked.

I'm not much of a fish eater, and intact skin (and heads) would make it even harder to eat and enjoy. And I don't want to be picking out tiny bones, either.

Happy Friday, all!

nursej22, CONGRATULATIONS on your retirement!  So happy for you!!

Ado, it seems only the ppl with complaints (and lots of them, in their eyes) are the ones who take the time to post a review.  Then all the reviews end up being bad!  Seems like that is not a fair/accurate way to assess your business's impact on patients.

I paid for the obit today.  We may practice today for music next Saturday, or we may not practice, depending on fiddler's health.  Will see.  Most of the songs on the set list are ones we know pretty well.  Just have to practice beginnings and endings, kinda brush up on 'em.

Should rain today and tomorrow.   Apparently it is raining in the local mountains, on top of the 4-5 ft of snow.  Guess that rain will help lower the snow level...

Have a good day.

Hey y'all~

It is overcast, rainy off and on, not sure of the temp, but it is chilly.

I called the pharmacy to check on a refill for Nannie. The pharmacist said he had something like 74 prescriptions he is working on, but he said he would shoot for an hour. ? YIKES! I wonder if he has super-fast hands? I sure hope his brain keeps up with the hands' 'rapid-refill' method! I'm giving him an hour and a half.?

In the meantime, I am laundering Nannie's wet sheets and blankets. ? Such fun! Last night when she was about to get into her bed, she leaned over and felt the chux, and asked "Is this pad wet?" (Uh, Nannie, I don't put you into a wet bed. DUH!)

May be back for more later~

Good evening.

I was charge today but with two patients.  Manageable but it was busy.  Started out with a no show nurse but she answered her phone and came in about 8:30  but it set me behind.  Then a patient went into rapid A-Fib with a heart rate of 180.  Got hime out.  A patient in pain threw his urine full of urine and a water picture across the room.   I told him his pain doesn't mean he can act like a *** and next time it's staying on the floor and can rot.  On and on.  Glad to be off finally.

My pharmacy is fast. I request on my app and once even 10 minutes later got the notification it was ready.
