Good Afternoon~
Hot today, cloudy.....looks like it might rain, tho' it isn't in the forecast. Not looking forward to Sunday when the temp is supposed to be at least 98, and there are thunderstorms predicted. Good day to stay indoors, I think!
Nothing unusual going on here....Nannie is snoring in her recliner. Hubby sat down in the den for 20 minutes and then said he was going upstairs to lay down on his bed. Ball-game isn't on until 7:20 PM; not sure where they are playing today, but maybe they (we) won't have to go through a Weather Delay.
Had to wash, once again, all of the bedding from Nannie's room. Why go to the bathroom when you can sit on top of the bed you just made up, and pee all the way through the SIX blankets and covers? Also, I have to go upstairs to get MY bedding to wash, as well. But at least it wasn't peed upon! Nevertheless, the fun just never stops.
hi. Little warmer today, about 76, humidity 55%, so close to normal. I took sis to her ortho appointment. Staples on all 3 incisions are out, steri-strips placed, but they started falling off before we got out of the exam room. Oh well. She goes back in 4 weeks, will start outpatient PT when home health is done, and I have no idea what the criteria or plan is there. They just seem to go visit by visit. When I used to work in the office at the local Visiting Nurse, medicare required a specific plan, but things seemed to have changed.
Dh has a television this afternoon, and hopefully they prescribe paxlovid. I called Costco to make sure they have it in stock. I taking a break from yard work. I know I need to start loading the trailer, but I need to shop, and do laundry, and I just feel like sitting. I am out on the deck, but dh just turned his music on blast, so I think I'll move inside, even if I need to wear a mask.
NoStars, you have the patience of a saint with all that linen changing.
An LGBT oriented group sounds like a neat idea, and closer than a bar an hour away. That smoky air is gross, I hope we can escape it this year.
Hello all!
Got the car washed yesterday. Did two loads of laundry today, and watered the little garden. It is almost 92 degrees out, humidity 28%. Again, should be 101 tomorrow and Sunday. Welcome to July!
The cats continue to demand lots of attention, to make up for the two weeks we were away. Toby heavily plops right behind me, on my shoulders, and loudly purrs and repeatedly "miaows."
No Stars, stay inside and safe during thunderstorms!
I would be disgusted if you did NOT get a good review, Tweety, for all you do and for your awesome skills. Yet, agree, a RAISE would be nice!
nursej22, how is your dh feeling?? Hope he's not too uncomfortable, and hope you got the prescription you were hoping for. AND, I hope YOU and the household don't get sick!
Joe, hope you are able to find a group you are comfortable with.
Have a good evening and weekend, y'all!
Trying to get paxlovid for dh turning into a circus. dh called his provider first thing this morning. He didn't want to go wait at the walk-in clinic, so the earliest tele-health call was 4:30. Then, he couldn't check-in because we couldn't upload pictures of his insurance cards. That's okay, because doc was running late. Finally does the visit, doc specifically checked his labs for kidney function and all drug interactions, then called the RX to Costco. Dh finally calls around 7, knowing they close at 8:30. The pharmacist won't fill the RX until she talks to the doc, to check kidney function. Um, they are out of the office until Monday. She won't take dh's word for it. I offer to send her a copy of his most recent labs. She seems to think he needs a new draw today. I said its silly to send someone coughing with a contagious disease to a lab, when the doc already gave the OK. She finally relented, but I had to print the labs and take them to her. But she didn't like how the creatinine clearance was reported. Finally, we get the drugs. Argle, bargle. But he is feeling better, and doc gave him Tessalon Perles for cough, which are the bomb. So much more effective that over the counter stuff.
Why am I awake? ?
Not much went on today. We did not go see the fireworks but Hubs and I did drive around the lake in the convertible and got a big pretzel to share from one of the food trucks. We could hear the fireworks from home but neither dog reacted at all.
Now there is a gentle rain falling which would be nice for sleeping if not for Hubs' snores.

Stars doesn't sound like great weather there, hot and humid from all the rain
Tweety glad you didn't have any patients
Dianah fresh peaches are a lot better than what you get from the store
Ado I think Summer has arrived here too
NJ22 hope you don't catch it, and your dh recovers quickly
Was a bit better yesterday at work, despite the 2 new cases. Hoping today will be better still
Did laundry during lunch as it was a small load and I didn't have counseling as the counselor is out of town this week
Tried to exercise last night but my legs were too tired. Did look into another Meetup group, this one LGBT oriented, they periodically do coffee on Sunday mornings. Will have to give them a try on a Sunday where I'm not doing anything at church
Will get a haircut tonight, not sure what else I'll do
Air quality definitely improving, although it will be hot, in the mid 90s, with storms expected overnight
