NJ22 legs seem fine.  Thanks for sharing the pictures

Stars glad neither of you was hurt too badly.  Glad the water heater is replaced

Ado glad you were able to have dinner with the choir

Tweety glad your assignment was reasonable this time

Work was decent, had a new case but otherwise was not too busy,  though by the end of the day had a lot of documents to review.  Got most of them done.  Hope today will go  well, although we will have 1 person out

Did laundry after work, then planned to do an outdoor event with the social group.  Got to the location a bit early,  found that all the seats were already taken and they were seated in front of the band, which would make conversation impossible.  So headed home and relaxed.  Will remember to skip similar events in the future

Tonight will go to yoga class for the first time in a few weeks

Going to be another warm day,  will  get up to 90

Hhmmpphh! So many things to do, and no one is alert enough to pitch in and help. Was going to have a come-to-Jesus talk w/ hubby, but he is drunk and he is po'd about medicines he needs to refill, see the Dr about, so no talking today!

He griped "I remember when it was sooo easy; all I had to take was the Thyroid medicine." Yuh, well, that was 20+ years ago. Since then....diabetes, (L) lung collapsed twice, and lousy liver d/t ETOH, lousy memory and thought processes, a lot of falling, which he is convinced is vertigo, etc, etc. Can an MRI help dx dementia? or vertigo? He brought it all on himself so there's no sense in fussing at me! GADS.

He's also going to love it when I tell him there are AA mtgs on Monday nights at 8 PM, not very far away. I bet he will use the time of the mtg as some kind of excuse.

So, anyways, same-old-same-old.

I have an appt w/ counselor at doc's office on Tuesday AM. I don't expect she can solve any problems, and I don't expect her to. I already know a lot of the things to do to help myself out. But I need a practiced ear to help me motivate myself to get out from under all this ridiculous crap I have to deal with.

Stars, as always I wish you the best.

Stars, good you have that counseling appointment.  Yes, you know what to do, but by gosh and by golly, you need an ear and an ally in all this.

Joe, good you are getting in on a yoga class!

I did some housework today, and then made a rice casserole.  Got sights on mental prep for next week's trip up to Grass Valley for the festival.  We are looking forward to driving up 395 and seeing the eastern Sierras.  House- and pet-sitting is all arranged.  Got to get meals arranged and prepped.  I ordered a new topper for the bed (it arrived today), hopefully will keep me cooler when sleeping.

Not much else going on here.  Have a good evening!

Good afternoon. Warm and 70 here. I had a nice bike ride, then came home and stuck some cosmos in the ground, and watered some other newly planted things. My zinnia seeds that I planted on Monday are coming up! dh and I went to Costco for one of his prescriptions that only they can seem to get. And we picked up some fruit and I got an industrial size bottle of claritin. My allergies are just going nuts: runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes. I hate taking pills, but this is ridiculous.

NoStars, you most definitely need someone to talk to. Hopefully they can help you strategize how to make sure your needs are met. 22 years is a long time for a hot water heater. I think ours usually last about 10 years. In Idaho, where the water is incredibly hard, I think they lasted about 5 years.

I enjoy live music in restaurants, but not so loud you can't have a convo.

I am starting to make plans to go to Burlington, VT for eldest ds's bike ride with JDRF. We are going to take a couple of days to see the area, and spend a day or 2 in Boston.

Stars, I think you'll find it helpful to have that ear to talk to.

Spent my day at a seminar on being prepared for an active shooter. Hubs still sick. Gma had diarrhea, too, and was defiant about getting changed and cleaned up. Fun times. All packed to fly to Indy tomorrow. Twin A will drive me to the airport. Hubs agreed to take over giving meds to the cat while I'm gone.

I'll be flying to Burlington, VT in August. The risk retention group is domiciled in VT so we have to have a meeting there yearly? ASHRM's annual conference is in Minneapolis, I forget the dates, and the risk managers meet again in Las Vegas in early Nov so I'll spend my birthday in Vegas. Was there once, in 1988, with my parents.

I'll check in with y'all tomorrow. I have books to read on the plane ...

Safe travels Ado!

Dinaha, what's a "topper", some kind of blanket or comforter?

I had the bright idea of scheduling an oil change/maintenance at 7AM Saturday.  What was I thinking.

Got all the money transferred from my USAA saving account online to my checking, which in turn paid off my loan at the same bank my checking account is and now I'm broke but glad to be out of debt.  Overtime I guess will be in my future, but there isn't any available this week.  Oh darn....(sarcastic)

Mattress topper = a foam or down or down substitute topper, to add comfort to a mattress.  Supposedly, this one will help transfer heat from the sleeper (unlike a foam mattress topper), so one sleeps cooler.   I hope it will help with decreasing hip pain when I sleep on the RV mattress.  I usually have to "pad" the torso area with a folded quilt for that.  Topper goes on right over the mattress, and then make the bed as usual.
