NJ22 glad there will be no further follow up or restrictions

Dianah it was garlic herb roasted tomatoes...basically sliced tomatoes with chopped garlic, salt, pepper, rosemary and thyme (and some olive oil) roasted in the oven for about 15 minutes at 400

Stars a new caregiver seems in order, given how unreliable this one has been

Work was not too bad yesterday, although the person I was covering for did get a new case.  Having to leave early made things a bit more stressful than I had expected

Getting to the train proved tricky too.  Had to park north of the track about a block from the station then walk to the south side of the tracks.  On the way there was delayed by a train, then on my walk to the station was delayed by another one.  Did manage to catch my train downtown, but it was  close thing.  Everything else went as planned

Today coworker will still be off, thankfully my work load is light.  After work the political group is having a social event, thankfully the dish I'm bringing is already prepared.

Should be a nice day in the low 80s here

Good afternoon.

Joe, hope covering the coworker goes well.

Stars, sorry your sitter is so unreliable.

I thought my food poisoning symtoms were getting better but they came back.  I decided to go low fiber for dinner last night and today to see if makes a difference.  Otherwise okay but starting to feel run down and lost some weight. I have a good appetite,  If no better by Monday, I'll go to the doctor.

Anyway, I'm off today and did some laundry, washed the sheets and went to the gym.  Steaks are on sale and since they are low fiber that will be my dinner with some mashed potatoes.  Definitely the complete opposite of my normal.

Have a great day.

97 degrees, with a feels like of 109 degrees; 56% chance of rain early this evening.

Welp, I saw a 'lost' dog on the neighborhood thread....a multi-colored female Chihuahua. I sent a message that if they can't find the owner, I might be interested. I asked her size and weight. Don't know if she's been chipped or not. But if nobody claims her, she might be "God's Dog", in which case she might end up as mine. I asked to be contacted on line, rather than post a phone number. Will let you know....

Off for the afternoon; not sure if I am to go retrieve the Nannie-person from daycare, but I suspect I am.

Going to get up from my bed-lounging, get dressed, and strip off the bed-sheets to launder along with my dirty clothes. I did put the trash out at the curb (even though we have no actual "curb"), and I washed the dishes before I went to bed last night, so going down to an empty sink is something to look forward to!

Otherwise my plans are to continue taking it easy, and checking on my laptop to see if I get a response about the Chihuahua girl.

SiL is going to bring Nannie home; she said she knows I don't like to get her home so early, but I said I didn't like the awful heat outside even more, so I'd agree to have SIL bring her back without me having to go out and get her.

No word back yet about the lost Chihuahua. I don't want to get my hopes up too high, but the more I think about it, the higher my hopes go. I tell myself what will be, will be. If she is meant to be mine, it'll happen. If her owner claims her, then I just have to say 'good'  and 'oh well.'

I hope little Chihuahua works out, Stars!

I'm kind of hoping the little chihuahua needs a home, too.

Went with the boys to watch Superman last night. We enjoyed it. I was mistaken about their having been discouraged from watching it.

I hope you start getting better, Tweety. And glad your clavicle is healing, J22.

I go through phases where all I think about is wanting to eat/drink something and that is where I am right now. Thinking about feeding the family tonight, I think we'll have microwave-baked potatoes with toppings.

It's currently 94 degrees and not too humid. Meeting my friend D for lunch tomorrow at a new (to me) place out in the little town where my dad grew up

Did get a few responses to my queries about the Chihuahua girl. The folks who found her are putting up notices around their neighborhood and contacting shelters, etc. They said she is 9 lbs, and she is very sweet. I think someone said she looked like she had recently had puppies, but is not looking like she is still nursing pups somewhere. Anyway, I am glad they contacted me and will let me know what happens regarding all the notices they put out.

I showed her photo from on-line to SiL when she brought Nannie back. She didn't look too impressed when she saw the photo, and told me I will "never get another dog like Momo."...well, *I* know that! Each animal has their own personality and habits. Then she said, "Is she house-trained? Well, heck, I dunno anything other than she was found wandering around their cul-de-sac.

Nevertheless-----Though it will probably take a few days-------

I am awaiting good news for both the dog and me! *fingers crossed*

Fingers crossed, mainly for Chihuahua-girl to get a good home, and secondly, that the 'good home' will be with you, Stars!

I went to the Cat Cafe for half an hour, and sipped on iced green tea and watched the cats and ppl interact, and played Spider Solitaire on my phone.  It was a nice 30 min.  Then I got dh's burritos (five at a time: XL Garbage burrito, with chicken and extra veggies -- he freezes them and thaws one at a time and eats 1/4 of it at a time, usually for lunch.  I know, LOL, TMI!) and picked up a couple things at the grocery store, then, on a whim, decided to get the car washed.  Basically, when I looked out over the car's hood, the color was light brown instead of white!  And even though we are cloudy with temps of 85 degrees and humidity at 37% -- with 20-30% chance of rain! -- I chose to wash it anyway, for my peace of mind.  And yes, now FOR SURE it will rain!!

Maybe I will make more 'crackers' this afternoon...

Have a good evening!

350 degrees, 10-12 min.

And, I use thin-sliced swiss, with sea salt on it.

Today I tried thin-sliced provolone, and it was tasty too!  I thought I had burned it, as most pieces were brown, but they didn't taste burnt and were nice and crispy/chewy.  Might need less salt with the provolone.

Just got home from the minor league baseball game. My eldest ds and his sister were there. We caught up about her recent trip to Yosemite. It was cool and rained a little earlier. Sun came out for a nice afternoon.
