Good morning!
Joe, I was thinking the same thing as to why mention it if he's not telling you what it is. Hope today isn't too crazy.
I'm actually already starting to feel a little better. Less fatigued but still tired, coughing some but no fever. Will just take it easy and chill today.
Good morning!
Joe, hope today isn't as crazy for you. I'm sure choir appreciated your support for a special program. Brrrrrrrr! Stay warm!
Tweety, so sorry you are sick! Hopefully you will kick it off soon.
Today we are scheduled to drive out to the studio and add some vocal harmony and some bass and mandolin and banjo tracks to friend P's songs. She will be riding with us, and hopefully I will not get sick like I did the last time we drove up! I felt fine in the morning but started getting runny nose and occasional sneezing, and by the time we drove back (just P and I in the car), I had a hunch I was sick and sure enough! That is gone now. Again, let's not repeat it!
It will probably be 50 degrees in the high desert today. That is cold, for us!
Have a good day!
Glad you're feeling a bit better, Tweety.
I'm taking a short break from being neck-deep in data. It gets overwhelming at times. Yesterday we were visited by regulatory folks from the mothership (we are a "managed" hospital, though municipally owned). So most of my day yesterday was spent with them and now there are things to fix for potential surveyors.
We're short-staffed again for the weekend and I'll be on call for Saturday's day shift. Census was 8 yesterday but down to 4 now. We shall see. The choir is rehearsing Saturday morning for our cantata on Sunday.
I suspect that the cat the guys adopted is pregnant. The microchip company and the vet are reluctant to let us claim ownership though we've had no success reaching anyone with the contact information. When I was young and people weren't so responsible about their pets, we had kittens a lot. Have not had that experience since I was a teen, and kittens are darling. But what are we going to do with kittens? I mean, I know we could (if they let us claim her) get her spayed and they would essentially "abort" the kittens, but I don't want to do that. She can be "fixed" after the kittens are born.
It's cold and foggy here, it got down to 27 last night. The forecast keeps pushing the really cold weather to later into next week, and that's fine with me. The cold fog left a pretty coating of frost or rime on the trees along the river. I tried to take a picture, but it didn't do it justice. I got a call last night from a server at a diner near my sister's house. She was there to watch the football game, and per their report, she fell and hit her head. They gave her a ride home (she wanted to walk) and dh and I drove over to check on her. I woke her up and could tell she was annoyed. She said she didn't hit her head, but tripped after having a beer. I couldn't see that she had any injuries so I said goodnight. I still think she needs to see a neurologist about her wobbliness. Otherwise, dh and I went shopping yesterday, I bought a few things and ordered some online. I will be glad when Christmas is over.
I'm sorry you ill, Tweety. Hopefully it is already passing. According to our health officer, respiratory hospitalizations are trending down. There is still a shortage of antipyretics, cough suppressants, and Tamiflu.
Joe, I am sure your congregation will appreciate your voice in the choir. I am jealous of your and Annie's talent.
Annie, yup, kitties are going to kitten.
Dianah, yes, stay healthy!
And you too, Stars.
The usual: He is sloshed and can barely do the stairs. He went to the liquor store this morning...that info per the neighbor who has helped me get him up more than a few times. He sat out on the porch sneaking drinks from his little bottles in his pocket and thought I didn't see him. I told him, "Don't try to hide it. I know what you are doing."
He has no clue it is our 33rd wedding anniversary. But it ain't a happy one.
Stars, I'm so sorry he's acting like this on your anniversary. Hugs.
J22, covid rates and flu rates are on the rise here. We tend to lag behind the NE or states north of us. I read one figure that rates have tripled. I went to get some cough syrup yesterday (with N95 mask and social distancing) yesterday and supplies of medication, including those for children seemed adequate. Glad your sister is okay.
Dianah, hope you don't get any worse.
I deteriorated a bit this afternoon and spiked another temp of 101.9. I took my last covid test and it was negative again. Cough is still much better and I'm not congested. Just very fatigued with a headache. Just have to get through it.
I am so bored, but can't get into watching a movie or reading so I'm just watching YouTube videos and looking at social media. Listening to a new Christmas album by Alicia Keys whom I've always loved.
Hello, we just got in from our session at the studio. Dh played bass for all 10 of the songs, so that's checked off the list. We have scheduled another session in a week, in the afternoon. Hopefully can add some mando and banjo, and then some vocal harmonies.
Oooooo, kittens!! If we didn't already have seven... They are so cute!
Tweety, I hope you continue to improve. It is miserable to not feel well, yet have a headache or have eyes be sensitive, so it's hard to watch any TV or movies. And one doesn't feel poorly enough to sleep all the time... This too shall pass!
(((((((((((((((((((( Stars ))))))))))))))))))))) Hold on till Monday, and hopefully there will be no severe injuries from falls. So disappointing, so very very disappointing, how alcoholism interferes with "normal" thought processes and decision-making. Take care of YOU.
Hello nursej22!
Have a good evening!

Stars that is frustrating that the appointment has been delayed. Hopefully when he does see the doctor he can be talked into inpatient rehab
Tweety I wonder the same thing, though I wonder in that case why he mentioned it at all. Anyway I'm not going to ask him about it
Hi NJ22
Yesterday got crazy at work, as the coworker I was covering for had 2 new cases yesterday. Was feeling kind of frustrated, but I did get done on time and the pace settled down by the end of the day
Showed up for choir practice as I wanted to get one practice in before Christmas. Thankfully the piece they're doing is easy and I learned it pretty quick
Today will try and get the Christmas gifts wrapped after work today. Have to do some knitting too, has been a while since I've had time to do that
Will be some more snow today and will be about 30. Will be a bit colder over the weekend
