Stars it's good your health remains, and that your dh realizes the strain he's putting on you, hopefully it will eventually motivate him to act

NJ22 that sounds like the weather we had Wednesday

Ado that's understandable, I suspect your dh has unrealistic expectations regarding caregiving.  I suspect many people today do as well, not realizing with people living longer how mentally and physically debilitated they can get

Dianah  glad the cold is better

Work was quite busy, person who is off had a lot of stuff that needed to be done, and I got a new case.  Hoping today will be easier

After work was a bit busy too, did some cleaning, exercised, worked on the slide show for the political group (a struggle given my lack of technical  knowledge) and did a little knitting

Stomach is still acting up a bit but seems to be settling down.  Cat seems to have a bit less appetite than usual.  Perhaps we both have stomach issues?  I'll keep an eye on us both, although she's had this before so probably is nothing

The big convention is this weekend, so I have Monday off.  Will head over there on Saturday

Going to be warmer today, up to 50, although back into the 30s tomorrow

Hello all!

Joe, what "big convention" is this weekend?  A furry convention??  Will you stay Saturday night there or just go for the day?  How exciting!

No Stars, I know it would be a hassle to look into it, but if you are doing all the caregiving, is there any way you could be reimbursed for it??  I'm serious.  Surely the family and your dh see how much you do. 

Cold is better, though not entirely gone, and though I am on the computer now, I would dearly relish going back to bed for a bit!  Still have nose dripping and coughing, and malaise.  Dh doesn't feel great either, so he called and cancelled practice, so we don't infect anyone else.  We have practice scheduled for next Friday, the day before the program, so we will get together a little earlier than previously planned, and do our practicing.  I plan on practicing at home, too, in the coming week. 

A few days ago, my weather widget showed rain was scheduled today, and possibly over the next two days.  Today's widget shows low percentage of rain possible...  too bad.

Dh is making us some fresh-squeezed OJ.  He bought a juice presser -- it's manual, and simple design, but sturdy.  He has been enjoying making juices with it.  And I just got my glass of OJ!  It is tasty!!

Hi Joe, hi Dianah. It’s still freaking cold, and now it’s starting to snow. I did get out for a short jog. We are on our way to the big city to shop. Dh likes to go to the  Lego store. I like the store with the natural ingredient skin care products. And I’m going to look for PJs for dd at the lingerie store. Youngest ds had a job interview, fingers crossed, at a home improvement store. 
Joe, a convention sounds like a nice getaway. I think I left stuff undone at work. I get distracted when coworker never stops talking.

Ugh, Dianah, that too bad to have cancel practice, but I’m sure you don’t want to spread the yuck. I don’t think I’ve had a cold since before the pandemic. 
Annie, I don’t think it’s TMI. When my dad was deteriorating, I would go to his house and not be able to find him, and half wish he had passed in his sleep. He never got mean, just very sad. 
NoStars, I hope all is quiet and dry at your house.

Nannie must have skipped into the next phase of Alzheimer's....She was in her recliner and started giggling. Hubby said "What are you laughing about?" She told him that she was laughing at the baby he was holding in his lap; "it's so cute!" You guessed it, there was nothing in his lap!

Went out for Nannie's yogurt. While I was gone, hubby took his (my) cane out to the end of the driveway and wheeled back the trash bin. Now his knee is still hurting. I said, "How do you figure you're helping me, by possibly aggravating your injury and making it worse?" His answer was, "I know." My reply was "So, don't do it!" He said, "But I used the cane..." Not the same thing as refraining from doing little jobs he thinks he should do.

Sorry to read about people's troubles and ailments.

I'll write more later but the trip is amazing.  Left the chilly mountains to the warm beach.

dianah, glad you're starting to feel better. Hubs had a bit of scratchy throat and generally feeling crummy on our trip to Indiana and for a few days after.

J22, a shopping trip to the big city sounds fun!

Hi, Stars. 

I worked med/surg today because one of the nurses was sick. I'm going in for her in the morning, too, but should be relieved around 1400. We had 5 patients. One is supposed to transfer if a bed ever becomes available at the receiving hospital. Since I had 2 patients AND we had an aide (such luxury!) I tried to get some of my regular tasks done, too.

The boys went to dinner tonight with friends to celebrate their 28th birthday (which is actually next Thursday). So Hubs and Gma and I had brisket from the barbecue place.
