NJ22 sounds like a productive day

Ado those are crazy long meetings

Stars I hope the mag citrate does the trick

Hi Tweety

Was another pretty good day at work, not too much to do.  Hopefully my luck continues for today

After work thought about trying out another pickleball game, but decided I needed a quiet night as tonight will be busy.  Will try again later.  After I've done a couple games I'll decide whether I want to continue or not.  Exercised and did a little grocery shopping instead

Tonight the gay group has their potluck.  I've decided against cooking and will make an appetizer, caprese salad skewers.  All I have to do is put mozzarella balls, basil leaves, and grape tomatoes on long toothpicks and add balsamic vinegar dressing, shouldn't take too long.  Will make them after work so they'll be fresh

Should be a nice day in the lower 60s

Sunny, 68 degrees and VERY windy.

Nothing happened for Nannie during the night; for breakfast she got #1) a HOT cup of coffee, #2) a cup of apple sauce with a tsp of bran mixed into it, #3) a glass of prune juice, #4 her usual yogurt, and with her meds, another stool softener/laxative capsule. I would love to be able to say "LOOK OUT BELOW!" as I hustle her (and her flaccid bowels) to the commode.

😂And she says she is "so thankful" she has someone like me "to watch over" her.  w00t? Well, at least she's not crabby!

More dishes and laundry for me to do today; so what else is new?

56 degrees, sunny and breezy. The day started with rain. The weather guy sounded very confused last night about the forecast. It might be this, or that, or something else. This Spring seems colder than usual, but maybe my old bones just complain more.

I've been to the park to jog, outside to prune bushes, pull weeds. We are having the house power washed and the trim painted, and re-flooring the front porch with synthetic decking to reduce maintenance. I needed to cut back bushes to allow the workers to do their thing. It's up to dh to move all his stuff that he removed from the garage and stored on the porch.  I called Edward Jones to transfer us the funds to cover that. I've started yet another donate box, and I'm going to sneak some stuff to the garbage that dh wants to donate that nobody would want. We have a file drawer full of cords from various electronics that he wants to keep, "just in case". I say, if we haven't used them in 10 years, buh bye.

Stars, good luck with Nannie. I remember a nursing home patient that ended up with a colostomy from toxic megacolon because she had dementia and just forgot to go. That darn bag would fall off at the worst times. And the nursing home was so cheap they wanted to scrimp on supplies.

Caprese salad skewers sound great!

Yup, Tweety, the train wreck at shift change that nobody has info on is classic. I always felt bad for the family, because they are finally getting to a room and boom, people are running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Annie, I hope your day was lovely and quiet. TGIF.

Hi Dianah. I trust you are having a lovely day.

G'day.

By now I hope Nannie has done her business.

Joe, hope you had a good time at the dinner.  I love caprese salad

I started out sending a patient with low blood pressure and shortness of breath to the unit for a drip.  Didn't get slower after that.

But I survived week 2 of overtime.  No overtime scheduled next week but the week after I'm picking up a shift.  I would like to cove my credit card when I spent $950 and have some cash for my upcoming trip to see my parents.  I forget yesterday was their anniversary.  My bad.  Hopefully I'll remember Mother's Day.

Have a great evening and day.

It was a good day for catching up with stuff. I got a good start on Q42023 population and sampling for CMS.

I finally saw the kittens in the backyard, or some of them. There must be more than 3 because Hubs said he saw a ginger and I didn't see that one.

Caprese  salad skewers sound good. It was National Grilled Cheese Day (who knew?) so we got to grill our own cheese sandwiches at work.

Our book club selection this month was (yet another) WWII story. Part of the story involved a woman who flew bombing missions for the Soviet Union. It was based on an actual all-female regiment of aviators that the Germans called the "night witches" (nachthexen). So in true obsessive fashion I'm reading another book about the night witches.

Looks like quiet a busy day but filled with enjoyment.
