Good morning.
Joe, glad you're on the mend.
Routine day off for me. Doing laundry and some meal prep. Headed to the grocery store here in a few. They have BOGO "Beyond Sausage" which I like to have on hand. I grew up on brats, having a German born mother, and didn't like them as much as I do now. Guess it took a while for the German in me to take over.
Good morning. It's sunny and warm, finally! It was nice to start my run without a jacket and gloves! There were lots of birdies singing--robins, sparrows and chickadees. The rhododendrons are starting to bloom, complementing the tulips and cherry trees. And the hum of lawnmowers is constant. I got a weird message from the cardiology nurse. I sent them a message saying I was positive for MRSA and blood cultures were drawn. She answers back to say "the cardiologist was pleased that the blood cultures were negative." Um, okay, although there won't be any results until tonight or tomorrow. I was going to go to sis's house to move some plants for her, but she's getting a migraine. So I've fired up the washer and am going to battle the weeds in my yard. dh has gone to volunteer at the food bank.
Joe, glad you are felling better. I looked your book, and it looks interesting.
I've never cared brats, they always seem so greasy and the skins tough. But I've never had Beyond Sausage. I should go to the store, but dh may or may not have sent in his grocery order to pick up.
Annie, yoga seems like the perfect break when doing something tedious. Stretch and breathe, ahhh.
NoStars, it does like Mr. Stars just wants to be numb all the time. That is sad, and just not fair to you. I hope you can continue to find joy in your books and birds. And yes, you definitely should look into a walking group, to get you out into different environment.
Hi Dinah. A Renn Faire in high heat doesn't sound fun in any sense! Enjoy your new plants!
The Beyond Sausage brats have the taste of genuine brats down but not the consistency and make for a quick meal. They also had "Impossible Sausage" on BOGO so I got some Italian of those as the Italian Beyond Italian sausages were sold out. I'm going to slice and sauté in some olive oil and add it to a pasta dish I've already made.
Our Renaissance fair is during our "season" mid-February through April 2. I haven't been in many years.
I did laundry and meal prepped, went to the grocery store, but am not interested in doing anything else today.
I finished watching the Whitney Houston bio on Netflix and it was pretty good, if not predictable. She still remains probably the best voice of the prior generation.
Hallooooo to one and all~
It is 3 PM and so far all I've done is get up, get Nannie up and fed. Then I had coffee and read a bunch of comments on MTG's lasted faux pas where she had said that the people in the ice age didn't have to pay taxes to combat climate change (warming). That was amusing.
S'posta be hot today and there may be thunder storms later this evening. I have nothing planned, though plenty to do. Procrastination might just be my middle name.
Hubby has just told me he is going upstairs to lie down and to get him up around 4:30 PM. Nannie is accomplishing her Reclining Siesta "solo" this afternoon.
Think I'll go outside for a little while; probably will just sit, but it will be a different place to sit, so a change of scenery.
As Sabby used to say....I am a SLOTH!
Another data-ful day. Almost done, though.
Yoga didn't happen yesterday because the instructor had something come up at last minute.
Last night we watched Top Gun with the boys and plan to watch Maverick tonight. Couldn't quite do a double feature. Both the dog and the grandma were up early early this morning and hard to settle down.
I should see if my family would tolerate some Beyond Sausage. We like to have brats from time to time. Must do some meal planning and grocery shopping this weekend.
Love the photo, nursej22! Good the weather is warming up, so you don't have to go out all bundled up.
I like the vegan sausages too.
I did a little more in the garden this morning: spread some of the topsoil around, and planted the two plants into pots. In the front planter by the house, we have a plant that will bloom in the next couple days. I have NO idea what kind it is!! I found two different plant tags, as I have dug around in front, but neither of them fits what is soon to bloom (the leaves, etc). Here is a photo (nursej22, do you know what it is??):
Then I did a grocery store run. I will likely make a rice casserole tomorrow. We will have leftovers today.
Yup, it should be 90 degrees this weekend. Laying low in the A/C for me!
Have a good evening!

Stars it must be frustrating that he is being so stubborn and refusing to take action
Ado doing some yoga seems a good break from all that data
Tweety that must have been difficult, and sad for the family
Dianah we're currently reading Dancing on the Volcano
Work was better yesterday, despite someone being out sick. Felt less tired, the headache was a lot milder too
Spent some time after work doing laundry and exercising. Texted with J, forgot he had cataract surgery this week, so we'll have to put off going out to eat until another week
So it should be a quiet Friday for me. Am in the process of planning for my nephew's graduation, which is at the end of next month. Oddly it's in the middle of the week
Will be a bit cooler today, in the upper 50s
