Hello all!
Joe, nice of you to help with the ushering for Maundy Thursday. Hope attendance is good for your Good Friday and Easter services.
Tweety, hang in there! Good you were "on it" for that critical patient.
((((((((((((((((( No Stars ))))))))))))))))) Hope you can get an appointment soon. Drive that funk out.
(((((((((((((((((( Annie ))))))))))) Had to shake my head reading about Gma's 1/2 pnut butter sandwich. Very frustrating, knowing it's the dementia progress but still. Honestly.
Yesterday we took the RV to get a new water pump and possibly new tires. It will be at the shop a couple weeks. Our next scheduled festival is in May. Should be time enough to get all done. Today we take Toby The Manx Cat in to the vet for a one-month-ish check-up (blood work) re: his hyperthyroidism. Seems to be doing better on the medication and we are down to 1/2 tab BID. If he needs to have the med continued, vet told dh (over the phone) that when we are gone to a festival, to simplify his care, Toby may receive one pill once a day.
Didn't sleep well, couldn't get to sleep till the early morning. So we will take the cat in, and I will nap when we return home.
I walked the track yesterday, hoping it would tire me out for good sleep last night. Hmmmm, curses, my plan was foiled!! That little strategy usually works. Oh well. Will sleep well tonight, hopefully.
Have a good day!
I had a decent night's sleep, for once. Perhaps it was from walking up and down a hill, in a cold wind and rain sprinkles, where the fruit nursery was, as we did our tour. It was more interesting than I thought. They are transitioning from being strictly retail/mail order to developing more sustainable practices that can be shared with area farmers. Afterwards, I drove grandson to hockey and got sooo cold watching his practice. But seeing his flushed, sweaty, grinning face afterwards was worth it. today I am driving sis to her echo in Seattle. It will be late in the afternoon when she is done, so we are planning to stop for a bite to eat while we wait for rush hour to pass. Seattle traffic ranks right up there with the worst. Except I've noticed in heavy Seattle traffic, nothing moves. In LA, it can be bumper to bumper and they are still going 70.
Sending good thoughts to all
Hey everyone~
Don't feel particularly well....had slight hot-flashes and slight chills earlier. Woke up with diarrhea. Kind of slightly nauseated.
Got Nannie up at 1 PM, helped her dress and then gave her the AM pills with the Yogurt and Cran-Apple.
I guess hubby is out in the car, who knows. I tried leaving him a message on the phone but no results. Guess I should go out on the porch and holler to him.
We had several tremendous thunderstorms and down-pours last night and this morning. The back corner in the den is leaking water from the amount of rain, so I threw down a bunch of towels. This happened once before, years ago, and the rain leaked all the way across the den to Nannie's bedroom! It was supposedly fixed, but I guess the rain ignored that fact. So here we go again.
Today it is 58 and raining, tomorrow will be 54 and more rain. Ugh.
I didn't fall asleep until sometime between 4 and 6 AM, then was awake a while longer. I must have dozed in the late morning hours.
I guess I'll go wake up hubby; he is probably napping out there in the Ford.
Went to the Good Friday service and sang with the choir. Hubs stayed home with his mother since Twin B picked up a 3-11 shift today and Twin A had (gasp!) social plans!
Twin B is talking about checking into EMT school. I told him it's a hard job, physically, mentally, emotionally. But people were always telling me that about nursing when I was "thinking about" it and it didn't deter me. I mean, they're not wrong but I figured I could handle it.
I guess Hubs is going to spend the evening playing video game golf. His mom is calmer than earlier. I wonder if he gave her some seroquel. Earlier, she wanted to *leave*.
So I could do something productive or sit here and read. Oh, what shall I do? ?

NJ22 I can see why that material might be boring
Stars I hope you can get an appointment and start feeling better
Tweety hope today is better at work
Initially work was bit crazy, helped by some technical glitches, but had calmed down again by the afternoon
After work went out a did the grocery shopping, went for a walk, then went to the Maundy Thursday service at church. Fairly small crowd. Helped out with ushering as there was only 1 usher there
Tonight will do laundry and go to the Good Friday service
Will be a bit cooler than yesterday, about 50
