Hey everyone, I wanted to start this forum so we can share our stats and/or any questions any of us may have. These are my stats so far! 

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 82%

Ya it’s different for 2nd bachelors students. My acceptance to the college relies on me getting into the program. If I don’t I have to reapply on Cal State apply again for the Spring. 
 

Fresno State is where I got my first bachelors, BFA in graphic design in 2018, I took all the classes I needed to apply at FCC and Fresno State at FCC, and I didn’t apply to Fresno State in 2020 mostly because I had no job and I couldn’t afford the $130 it costs total to apply to the school and the program for the slim chance to even get in. I didn’t get into FCC in 2020. I have a really good paying job at the moment, so I can afford to apply now, hoping to get into either at the point. 

Nope, they are solely merit, only priority given is the military. I was literally told with how crappy my GPA is I should join the military to get into Fresno State, even tried, but I was deemed not medically capable for the military. 

ohh gotcha. Yea I was just worried that I hadn’t received a student ID as other CSU’s do that after they confirm they received your application. 

Well, I’ll let you know what they tell me in regards to transcripts tomorrow

Hey guys! So I found this forum and decided to connect with you all for the upcoming nursing application period for FSU! 

I just graduated from West Hills in Lemoore, and my prereq GPA was a 4.0 and I got a 92% on my TEAS exam. 

I’m hoping for the best for all of you, and maybe we can become friends if we get into the program and create a little study group! 

Also probably looking for a roommate too if that time is to come if anyone is interested, LOL :-)

I think the process is different, it’s not something I’m sure of because I went to Fresno State first out of high school. I’d just think you’d either have to submit transcripts from Cal State Apply or through My Fresno State which you don’t have access to if you have no log in info. 
 

I just know for the nursing CAS application official transcripts aren’t required. I’d go to your portal from your school in San Diego and there should be an option to send official transcripts, I’d do that ASAP. 

That’s exactly how I sent my official transcripts, through my school’s portal. I got an email from State the next day saying they received my official transcripts. 
 

If anyone has any questions definitely give Fresno State a call. I know of two people that missed the application period to apply on Cal State Apply this past fall. They both called State and were allowed to apply late. I personally like to email so that I have anything I’m told in writing.

Hi guys so I just got off the phone. I explained I was a second bachelors applicant and I was told that they don’t require us to send official transcripts and as long as we uploaded the unofficial ones on NursingCas we should be fine. Once you get the email they are reviewing your app then it’s a matter of waiting and if they need anything from you, they will let you know via email.

I just got the “We received and are reviewing your application” yesterday. Supposedly, as per their email, you can check the status on NursingCAS but my status just says “accepted” in terms of the application being accepted. 
 

The college emails you about acceptance/denial right?

Yea they will email us about acceptance/denial. 

The status of my application on NursingCas just says “Complete”

it has been like that since I submitted it. I think my app is still under review so maybe it’ll change to accepted once they verify my app.

OK so this is weird. I just got my Fresno student ID and on my portal it shows transcripts on my to do list. Im just going to go ahead and send them over. 

Did you guys choose the option that says Cal state University Fresno. Usually other CSU's have 2 options, one of which is where transcripts are sent directly to the nursing department.

Hello!

I am applying to Fresno State BSN but also other CSUs. The other CSUs want all the courses I took entered and Fresno only wants prerequisites, what do I do?

Also, my 'to-do list' keeps saying transcripts when I sent them in last month, and they were received by the school on the 11th. I don't know if that meant Fresno acknowledge it that day or if it was received by Fresno that day. I'm scared they didn't come in on time, but the Transfer Admissions Advisor said they just didn't updated it yet. I'm still scared though. When will they email us the acceptance/ denial?

I had the same question too a while back so I emailed Fresno and they basically told me that it was okay to have non-prerequisite courses entered. I'm guessing it's just ideal for them that we don't put them in. Also I don't think there's a set date for the acceptance/denial date but I saw somewhere on their website that they will start sending acceptance letters out anywhere from March 15 all the way to June. Last years cohort found out pretty soon after the March 15 date so hopefully we can find out around the same date but I think it just depends on the applicant pool.

What other CSUs did you apply to? ?
