Fresno State Fall 2021

Hey everyone, I wanted to start this forum so we can share our stats and/or any questions any of us may have. These are my stats so far! 

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 82%

I spoke to some one in the nursing department at State about transcripts. They said no official transcripts for the TEAS. When I asked about other transcripts they said since official transcripts are required to apply for entry into State, they already have access to them when you apply for their nursing program. But I applied to State (this past fall) as a transfer, so if you are applying as anything other than a transfer I would double check with the nursing program people.

I am applying as a transfer from San Diego and had to send in official transcripts by feb 1st!

This is all so confusing LOL. When you say entry into state do you mean via cal state apply? I am applying as a second bachelors not as a transfer.  I will call them tomorrow.

Yes, I had the same deadline. I didn't take any classes this past fall so I got the okay to send my official transcripts shortly after I submitted my application on Cal State Apply this past fall.

Yes, sorry! I sent my official transcripts shortly after I applied to Cal State Apply only because I wasn't taking any classes for fall 2020. The deadline for the official transcripts to be sent to Fresno State was February( for the Cal State Apply application just for entry into Fresno State).

I got the deadline via email after I submitted my application on Cal State Apply.  I am trying to attach a flyer thing I saved that came with one of the emails.

Oh weird. I mean it would not make sense for them not to require 2nd bachelors to submit official transcripts. I hope I am still able to send them as the deadline on calstate apply for second bachelors is 2/28. I'll call them tomorrow and update you guys. 

 

Also, did you have a different deadline on CalState Apply?

I think the process is different, it’s not something I’m sure of because I went to Fresno State first out of high school. I’d just think you’d either have to submit transcripts from Cal State Apply or through My Fresno State which you don’t have access to if you have no log in info. 
 

I just know for the nursing CAS application official transcripts aren’t required. I’d go to your portal from your school in San Diego and there should be an option to send official transcripts, I’d do that ASAP.

Mine was until January 31st, I have friends who transferred from FCC get their acceptance emails to state today. Have you been given an acceptance email to the college? I know my situation is different being a 2nd bachelors student my acceptance to the university is contingent on my nursing program acceptance, I got an email a month ago saying my application to the college was forwarded onto the nursing program because of it.

I do have my Fresno state login! I sent my transcripts back in January ? 

do you know if Fresno gives priority to students attending local cc’s?

I never went to FCC. I think it might be different for second bachelors as their admittance into Fresno state depends if they are admitted into the nursing program. 

Also you went to Fresno state for undergrad right? That is how you were able to get into your Fresno state portal?  

This is what the email I got recently says: Thank you for applying to Fresno State's Baccalaureate Nursing Program. Your application has been received and is under review. You may track the status of your application by visiting your NursingCAS account.

I just hope that if it is the case they need my official transcripts that they will allow me to send them since technically the deadline on calstate apply is 2/28.

Ya it’s different for 2nd bachelors students. My acceptance to the college relies on me getting into the program. If I don’t I have to reapply on Cal State apply again for the Spring. 
 

Fresno State is where I got my first bachelors, BFA in graphic design in 2018, I took all the classes I needed to apply at FCC and Fresno State at FCC, and I didn’t apply to Fresno State in 2020 mostly because I had no job and I couldn’t afford the $130 it costs total to apply to the school and the program for the slim chance to even get in. I didn’t get into FCC in 2020. I have a really good paying job at the moment, so I can afford to apply now, hoping to get into either at the point.

Nope, they are solely merit, only priority given is the military. I was literally told with how crappy my GPA is I should join the military to get into Fresno State, even tried, but I was deemed not medically capable for the military.
