Oh wow your fifth time. I really hope you get accepted. I just applied and won't get my results until tomorrow. I am kind of nervous since you've been in it for such a long time. I know for a fact you can take the test early. They actually encourage students to have passed it prior to applying to the program. It's offered at fresno state. call them and ask.

I hope you both get in! I have have friends who have waited 5 tries and are still waiting, but I also have several who got in on there first try. I guess it really is just random luck.... I hope we all get in! Since you have been in the lottery 5 times, how early can you check the results?

Well, I don't think i am gonna get. I heard FCC has a crazy long pool of applicants. If this doesn't work out I am just gonna attempt to get in through state colleges that base acceptance off of grades and TEAS score. I keep doing horrible on the teas test. My GPA is pretty good. So if i got in at FCC I won't have to worry abt taking the TEAS again and that would be great. I hope they post em by midnite. I think they've already done the lottery since they are posting em b4 tomorrow. Anyways this is my first time in the lottery so I hope i am just as lucky as the friends you know that got in the first time. :)

I checked and I wasn't the lucky few that were accepted this time. Oh well it was my first time and I am not relying on this lottery system anymore. It's back to studying really hard for the Teas test and that's all i really need. I good score on the teas.

This is my 6th time in the lottery and I got picked as ALTERNATE.......anyone in the same boat ? How do you know what number alternate you are ?????

So maybe I will have to change my name to 6timesinlottery! I was chosen as an alternate. I called and e-mailed to find out what number alternate I am but haven't heard yet.

Bluerose: were you put in a "special lottery" it being your 6th time?

Does anyone know if they have those of us that have been in the lottery 5 or 6 times start the program in the summer?

I'm not sure if I was in a special lottery or not, my account didn't state it

As for alternate, I called and the lady said you have to come to orientation to find out. This makes sense because they will get a better idea after people decline or not show up for orientation

Thank you! I was finally able to speak to someone who told me just that. Apparently the TEAS V is pretty difficult and I may take someone's spot who is unable to pass the exam (as long as I can pass it myself). I was also told that if I am not chosen as an alternate for Spring 2012, I will start in Summer 2012 (granted there is funding) and if there is not funding for a summer program, I will start in Fall 2012 (without being placed in the lottery).

My sister in law is in a LVN program through Clovis Adult, she heard that Fresno City is putting a freeze on new RN program applications.....have you heard anything about that?

I have passed the new teas test. Im not too ready to start this spring though i hope i dont get chosen so that i can start the following semester...too bad they dont allow deferments

Has anyone who was selected for the Spring 12 semester scheduled their TEAS exam yet? If so, how much time to prepare for it do you have? Thanks!!
