Starting a thread for applicants in 2021 year.

Were they applying to both programs and got into respiratory first? I’m surprised! They only accept 24 respiratory students and like 35 radiology tech students. Seems like odds are better to get into RN over those two programs.

I don’t know the odds of getting into rad tech, but because of the amount of applicants for RN it’s roughly 16% on the odds of being selected for the RN program.

I had 1 C in Physiology from when my mom died which brought my science GPA to a 2.9 and to get an extra 5 points I needed a 3.0. I have a 72 on my TEAS. From what ----------------- told me it all depends on the multi criteria.

Wow I knew nothing about minimum requirements. So people need a 3.0 in sciences and at least a 70 in TEAS to get into lotto? They should seriously let those facts be known since by the info on their website it seems like all you need is a 2.5 GPA and a 62% on TEAS...

There points can be very confusing. So if you got a 92 or higher on the TEAS will get you 50 points which is the points you need for the lottery so you can have a 2.5 GPA. I think they should post a paper with the criteria on it so people can check their points.

Interesting. I was told (by counsellor at FCC) that you only needed 90 TEAS to get 50 points. Was it raised to 92?

Maybe they don’t publish the points because the applicant pool varies every year? And on a low year they can adjust accordingly?

Yes I’m pretty sure FCC is 90 because I got a 91 and the counselor told me I got all points from that. That’s why I never learned the details about how requirements are met.

You’re applying to the respiratory program at FCC?? I’ve thought about it but I’m not sure if it’ll mess with my chances of getting into the RN program.
